Bennett could really get the best out of him, he has real talent, probably best position is Lock, a ball playing one like Sutton. Just not as good runner of the ball.

L’arrière des Canterbury BULLDOGS vient de s’engager pour un an avec une année optionnelle avec le club salanquais.
Nick YOUNGQUEST 24 ans, né le 28 juillet 1983 à Sydney a commencé sa carrière en NRL aux cotés d’un certain Dean BOSNICH aux Cronulla SHARKS. Il a ensuite rallié le club de St GEORGES DRAGONS puis en 2006 les PANTHERS de Penrith au sein duquel il se distingua pour ses talents de finisseur et de buteur mais également de top model.
Nick fut élu joueur le plus sexy de la NRL et a posé sur l’équivalent australien du calendrier des dieux du stade.
Nick évolue cette saison aux BULLDOGS de Canterbury, titulaire au poste d’arrière aux cotés d’Hazem el MASRI, ils affolent les défenses adverses. Joueur très sollicité en NRL, Nick a préféré donner sa préférence à SMPIA 13 afin d’apporter une nouvelle orientation à sa carrière de sportif.
Contacté par téléphone après la signature de son contrat Nick a déclaré « Etre heureux d’avoir donné son accord avec les donkeys de SM PIA 13, et semble excité de vivre une saison en France aux cotés de ses anciens coéquipiers que sont Dean Bosnich et Paul Franze.

Catalans Dragons captain Casey McGuire has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the Perpignan club until the end of the 2010 season.

The former Brisbane Broncos stand-off is in his second year in Super League with the French club.

McGuire, who has made nine appearances this season, missed last year's Challenge Cup final because of injury.

"Casey's versatility will prove to be beneficial for the Dragons," said general manager Christophe Levy.

hinchy does have some utility value as a 2nd rower.
But i cant understand the signing either personally
Hinchy's a solid player, he wont let them down but im not sure they need him, im stoked he found a contract though, canberra didnt need him anymore with Withers, Flannagan and Buttriss all on the books for 09, but Hinchy's a top bloke, would have hated to see him not find a deal

Logan Swann and Wairangi Koopu will join veteran Ruben Wiki in leaving the Warriors at the end of the NRL season, while utility Aidan Kirk has signed again for the club.
Wiki, who has had 16 years in the NRL, signalled early this year this season would be his last.
Warriors chief executive Wayne Scurrah said Swann, 33, and Koopu, 28, were also going.
"We were delighted when Logan was able to come back to the club from England in 2007 and then have a second year this season," said Scurrah.
"He has indicated he wants to play on in the English Super League and Wairangi told us some time ago that he also wanted to be able to pursue the chance of playing in England."
Swann has so far played 181 times in two stints with the club and sits only behind Stacey Jones (238) for Warriors' appearances. Koopu, in his 10th season as an NRL player, ranks fourth with 158 games.
Kirk, 22, has impressed in recent Warriors' matches and has been signed up for next year with an option for 2010.

WESTS TIGERS SIGN DAINE LAURIE
Wests Tigers have today signed promising prop Daine Laurie to a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old has been in fine form for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup and comes to Wests Tigers as a player with plenty of potential. Laurie stands at 198cm and weighs 112kg.

He is contracted to the end of 2010 with Wests Tigers having an option for his services in 2011.

Laurie was first spotted at the Aboriginal Knock-out tournament held at Henson Park in late 2006.

After not playing league last year, Laurie was invited through his manager Christopher Haddad to move from Yamba to Sydney to play for the Magpies under coach Leo Epifania.

Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager Warren McDonnell said Laurie had impressed officials at the Magpies and Wests Tigers with his raw power.

“Daine has a great attitude towards training and has a strong desire to learn and succeed,’’ McDonnell said.

“He is rough around the edges at the moment but there is a very strong NRL player waiting to be unleashed with some help from the coaching staff.’’
