He might get a chance to finally break into the Queensland 17 now.

Happy with the signing. Quality player.

Hopefully we can still keep DT.

Crazy that Broncos twitter said just 2 hours ago they were fighting to keep him.

Isnt te'o a new zealander? Or did he coose qld?

If so then why would he break into te qld 17! Because hes with souths? He's still got the same players ahead of him for qld

Born in Auckland. Played for Samoa in 2008. Has since pledged allegiance to Queensland and Australia.

And Dave Taylor wasn't making the QLD 17 until he became a Souths player.

Te'o could be the same story.

Taylor was a good player at Brisbane, but still early in his development. It'd be fair to say he would have become the same player at nearly any club (bar Parra of course) And probably would have become a better player, quicker, had he stayed at Brisbane.

Anyway, it's a moot point.

Interesting to see if he dogs it for Broncos now.. he's got form.

If he does, he's got a big problem. He won't get another first grade game all year. We have so many backrowers waiting for a go in the NYC that could fill his shoes.

Te'o completes Souths NRL switch

Wednesday, May 02, 2012 - 3:14 PM

South Sydney have moved to replace the departing Dave Taylor by securing the services of hard-hitting Brisbane back-rower Ben Te'o on a three-year deal from the start of next NRL season.

Taylor agreed terms last month to join Gold Coast after his family failed to settle in NSW, and the Rabbitohs moved for the former Wests Tiger, who was 18th man for Queensland in last year's State of Origin series.

"I've met with Ben and he's a highly motivated young man who wants to achieve great heights in rugby league," said Souths coach Michael Maguire.

"He's prepared to work hard to achieve his and the team's goals, in terms of premiership success and playing representative football.

"It's this drive and work ethic that led us to approaching him about joining the Rabbitohs for the next three years and beyond.

"He'll add experience and power to our pack in attack and defence and we're looking forward to welcoming him next year."

ROFL :lol::lol::lol:

Another player who voluntarely kills his career. His only hope of success is to with something with the Broncos this season.

In other words, the bunnies develop players better than the Broncos...

Good signing for Souths.

If they can find a genuine 5/8 they will move into the top quarter rated teams

How long until Ben Teo starts being labelled as the best forward in the world? Bunniesman's world, I mean.

He's already penciled him in for a QLD jersey after a few hours, next week he'll have the Golden Boot and Aus captain locked in

We have Luke Keary in Toyota cup who has the potential to turn into a very good player.

His strengths balance out well with Reynolds. I'm hoping he gets a go in next years trial games. He could be the answer.
