What aren't you sold on mate? He has signed with us and it's been confirmed by the club this morning.
Well a few weeks back knowing wayne was heading home to QLD, and knowing Reynolds has a great rapport with him, i would have thought, wayne new club, adam as his marquee halfback. To hear this now, is very deflating... broncos being a bit better structured with reynolds kicks will help, but your defence in games won't hold up, and adam isn't mr.no1 on defence.
So i don't see finals next year for bronx regardless, but the dolphins (or whoever bris2 is) couldve been the better option, as no ones expecting greatness in a new franchise 1st year.. would have suited adam way better

I guess Kevie will be looking over his shoulder now.

We could win every single game from here on out and you'd still look for the negatives surrounding the Broncos.

Here's the reality of it, we got the wooden spoon last year and Reynolds is a huge signing for the club.

About Wayne, if he comes or not it doesn't really make a difference. Wayne was saying years ago when Kevvie was his assistant he wouldn't mind a situation where he has a coaching director role. Kevvie is doing a good job as it is, it can't be understated how much better we have been playing this year.. sure we still cop the odd flogging but there's some real good performances in there too.

I'm a big fan of Reynolds despite being a Chooks fan. Really rate his kicking game obviously and he's got a solid/good enough skillset to be a good NRL halfback which he is.

However in my opinion he isn't elite so the Broncos are taking a considerable risk on him. He turns 31 in a couple months, how many non elite halves do we see playing to a strong standard at 33-34?

That's if he even makes it, we see so many blokes in their thirties cop one major injury and never recover from it. What if a year into his first deal at the club he does his ACL? 25 year old you'd be right but 32-33? Probably not.

750k is good value for money though. Many teams would probably give Reynolds a million dollars a year or close to it. I do hope the Broncos plan on recruiting a couple more big stars though because I don't think Reynolds by himself is enough to turn it around.

Can I just say, there is absolutely no way he's agreed to pack up his 4 kids and leave Sydney, to play under a rookie coach at the current wooden spoon holders, for $150k per annum less than he could have got in Sydney. No way. Believing that is just naivety.

I would have preferred he stayed, but he'll be 31-and-a-half at the start of next season and if the club believes that re-signing him long term would have meant losing our halfback for the next decade, then I'm happy to support them on this.

As I said, they've proven their track record in being able to find suitable replacements for the superstars of our last team. Whether it has been going out and recruiting top level (Mitchell for Inglis, Arrow for Sam Burgess), bargain buys stepping up (Walker for Keary, Tatola for George Burgess, Cook for Issac Luke), or developing our own (Murray, Koloamatangi, Graham, etc).

too much money and too long a contract for a guy that's in his 30's, is a poor defender, looks like he's held together with masking tape and could get busted any moment.

but, it chews up the bronxs cap and kevvie has no idea what he's doing so I'm happy with the deal

might have been smaller on paper but it doesn't show the flashy house one of the thoroughbreds lets Reynolds family "visit" or the sportscar he can "borrow"

Still it would be funny after part of the justification for getting rid of Morris was wanting a coach that could attract better talent to the club and their first big target takes less to go to the donkeys even if there is something else to the donkeys deal.

Hahah the sharks are a sinking ship, rookie coach incoming expected to rebuild the roster, its not impossible that the better talent in Brisbane was a big draw for him.

Cronulla have either offered him a terrible deal or he is taking less at Brisbane, those are the options on the table

Here we go again, Sharks are sinking ship if that was so we would not have had the money to go for Reynolds...

Not sure about that logic at all, you have money because you are cleaning out a bunch of shit contracts after this year. The bulldogs are f**ked three ways from sunday and they have had plenty of money to go after players.

tell me when the Panthers weren’t going well was it a sinking ship, it overcome it problems and now it’s the best team, Cronulla will overcome and so will the Dogs.
