I never said they were smart, I just said they realised they f**ked up almost immediately.

You have to realise that several clubs have given Moses M’Bye legal tender in exchange for his footballing services. James Roberts also. There is clearly capacity for clubs to make shit signings.

Wests Tigers have been making some very good moves lately, however from the outside looking in, it does seem like they are falling into the trap of paying a chunk of their salary cap to players who are playing at rival clubs.

Wests Tigers are surely covering chunks of Bateman's and Sullivan's deal for the next few years.
