I hope Ayshford is good at slicing oranges. He serves no other purpose. Bloke is a hack who is well past his best. Will go down as one of the worst signings in Warriors history, and thats saying something.

Can a Sharks fan alert us to what they think of this? I have a feeling it's a 'haha, you signed him' sentiment similar to Spud Wright?

Ayshford played well in the 9s tournaments in 2014 and 2015.

But never really performed in the regular season. In fact, his best games for use were probably in the back end of 2014 (wooden spoon year) when he came off the bench as a backrower.

I think he never succeeded at centre for our club because our style of play isn't conducive to providing space to our centres, and Blake needs space - which is why he probably played better in the backrow for us.

I wish him all the luck at the Warriors, but am definitely happy to see him out of the club.

Ayshford should be better. I can't tell you why he isn't. In his early years he seemed strong, fit, durable and rugged.

Now he's poo and falls off tackles as a job. Maybe he is over-coached?

Of course it will be. Nobody keeps a 27 year old in reserve grade and then feel horrible when someone else signs them.

Still, Wright filled a purpose, and so will Ayshford. If our more talented outside backs pull their heads out their asses then none of it will be an issue.

Course they do, because there was a reason they were in ressies.

Wright didn't really fill a purpose let's be honest. If our more talented outside backs pulled finger we wouldn't have had to sign Wright or Ayshford. But they haven't, and our coaches are not up to it at present.

I called it 12 months ago that if Wright was a regular first grader, we'd be f**ked. And I'm going to say it again with Ayshford. They're both NSW Cup players who were once decent but have gone backwards.

Wright played more games because of injury than players acting up (Hi Konnie) so yes he did fill a purpose.

We weren't f**ked this season because Wright played. Konnie in good form in his place wouldn't have turned our season around.

Wouldn't say Wright went backwards. He's as average as he's always been, that's why he's not first choice in any team. It is what it is. Our locals haven't stepped up, there's not much other option based on what's available and what we can afford.

Justin Hunt & Jordan Rankin to the Tigers, 1 & 2 year deals respectively.

These seem like good signings, Tigers will be hoping the halves can get the best out of them or they'll be useless.

Hunt is a decent fullback depth signing if Tedesco misses any footy. An upgrade from moltzen and Rowe. He actually played NYC and nsw cup with the Tigers back in 2008/9, was a halfback back than.

Rankins an interesting one. Another one of these young halves with big wraps who didn't make it immediently so went off to the UK. Hopefully the experience will have done him good and he comes back a better player like Blake Green. Or he could be another Jacob miller/ Harry sjeika and never be heard of again. I haven't seen him in the ESL but from his Titans days he seemed to be a good runner of the ball.

He was mostly playing as a fullback for Hull FC (which imo is his best position) so who knows what their plans for him are, still a good runner though and should at least put a bit of pressure on brooks & moses.

Good to see the Tigers are moving in the right direction, not detracted from the huge crowd of 15 or so picketing the clubhouse with Robbie banners

Good signing for the Dragons imo.

I think they'll be better prepared for next year with a massive boost in their forwards.
