Maybe it's just his personality but I think he already has an eye on post football. He has always been a loud mouth. After the ACL he settled into podcast land with ease so I figured he'd quit and spend his future creating headlines with hot takes.

Yeah I don't think he is great on the podcast though. Maybe just not to my tastes. He is honest though when he speaks.

What do you fellas think about signings straight out of Highschool, e.g Angus Crichton, Cam Murray, Billy Smith, and now this new Makasini boy. Do you think the NRL should do more for these schools.

As a Knights fan I wish him all the best. He’s definitely got a lot of potential but I’m also not mad at the club for not wanting to try and match the Tigers offer when we’ve already significantly overpaid him the past few seasons. He played his best 40 mins of footy in the NRL last night, but before that he’s been solid but a bit underwhelming. I’m not sure if he’s just not reached the potential he showed in the ESL because of the Knights or maybe he’s just peaked in terms of impact against much harder NRL defensive lines. Either way I’m a bit excited to see him at a new club to see if he can go up another gear as we have seen potential. I’m not sure the Tigers would have been my first choice of clubs for him to bring that out but he is more of a bump and offload sort of backrower rather than a line runner so maybe he will thrive under Benji-Ball.
