So I take it that you were supporting Melbourne in the last 4 Grand finals because we wouldn’t want an inconsistent team winning would we?

Below are some facts as you have requested

Dragons last 13 games (half of games this year including finals)

- Scored 268 points at 20.6 points per game
- Conceded 168 points at 12.9 per game

Roosters last 13 games

- 329 points at 25.3 points per game
- 215 points at 16.5 points per game

We deserve to be there based on our 2nd half of the season, we have beaten teams 2, 3 and 4 in the finals with team 1 remaining.

Do you want a medal or something? I still don't think the Roosters are all that great. Dragons are easily the best team and they own the Roosters. Wayne Bennett also owns Brian Smith.

I don't get the Dragon bashers on this forum. I've never had a real problem with them myself. Other than Manly, Roosters & Broncos I don't really dislike any of the other teams much.

So, in your opinion, who was a worse second place team?

One mediocre second placed team that stands out in my mind is the Bulldogs of 2001. In a season where high-scoring games were common they only had the eighth best attack in the league, and their unremarkable differential of +49 was only the seventh best overall. Well, apart from those stats, my own recollections of them that year were of a solid but unspectacular side (although that changed quickly in the following few years when their salary cap rorting helped them add players like Vagana, Ryan, O'Meley, and players like Mason, Anasta, Utai and Sonny Bill came through). After narrowly losing to seventh placed saints in the first round, by a mere one point, they were demolished 52-10 by the Sharks in the second week of the finals.

Now I don't claim to know about the fates of all second placed teams in the history of the NRL, but that's certainly one candidate that springs to mind from recent memory that I think were extremely flattered by their regular season table ranking.

Lets all agree with pantherz12345 opinions

This guy will be more upset than any Dragons fan, even Timmah, if Roosters win. The sheer amount of posts he's put out sooking about Easts is astounding.

Yep, a premiership medal would do nicely. It is the prize awarded to the winning side this Sunday, the Panthers are ineligible for that due to a 34-12 flogging 2 weeks ago

LOL at all the people backing the Roosters as something like a '2nd team'. I doubt they were cheering for them back in 2003/2004. I remember this board at the time. The threads were a flush with Rooster arrogance and the most outspoken poster at the time was Rooster Cogburn, who has since vanished from LU.

The way i see it... They're both evil however the Roosters IMO are the lesser evil club:)

2003 - They played the Panthers... everyone felt sorry for Penrith (No supporters, no culture, crap ground etc), so they all 'went' for Penrith.
2004 - Everyone just loves the Bulldogs :)
