Cook certainly had a blinder last night, but picking a bloke on one performance isn't going to beat Queensland.

I don’t know how many Souths games you watch but Cook is consistently one of our biggest attacking threats. I just don’t see any hookers like Cook that constantly threaten the line. Api is great as well. It really depends on the type of hooker that Fittler wants. If he wants to play it safe then Mcinnes is probably the best option. Playing it safe has gotten us nowhere for the past decade though.

I didn't watch the Bulldogs match, but I watched all the others. He hasn't exactly stood out until last night. He's got a few more weeks to impress though.

McInnes and Cook looks to be a good way to go. Defensive starch and ball playing then speed strength and agility.

Cook has been good all year.

Let's see who impresses over the next few rounds before origin selection and then we'll have a clearer picture.

Did you just see McCHEETAH score a brilliant individual try!!

The scintillating, scorching pace was amazing!!Quickest hooker in the NRL!!
Yeah truly McMazing turn of pace, backed himself, didn’t stop once he broke the line

4 runs for 38m, 2 tb's, 12m post contact, 1 lb, 1 try.
1 lba, 1 try assist.
2 kicks, 2 repeat sets.
22 tackles (3rd), 0 missed.
0 errors.

The great hookers have stats of quality, not quantity. They turn up week in week out and get the job done. It is the most team orientated role in the game and Cam McInnes is a good'un.

In Origin where there are halves of quality, it is important that the generals get the footy in their hands.

McINNES has always had great all round skills & serious pace but he too suffered under the Madge regime---like Peats he was treated like shit by us!!
He is a terrific team player,a v/good,consistent team manager who keeps that pace that he displayed last night for the right moment.A Cam Smith style of hooker;which is the best kind,ie. if you want substance & consistency.Throughout his career,so far,he has always been seen as a leader too;captaining Jnr sides,NYC & the Jnr Kangaroos.
He is genuinely tough &,I believe, suited to the SOO cauldron.
Cook is going v/well at present but would be a huge risk to pick him in SOO-----possibly from the bench;a big maybe---McInnes has been playing 80 mins for about 30 games straight now so he is well & truly conditioned to handling it!! Cook's "disorganised" style could be disruptive to the team too.

Cam's management of his HSC studies was great too where he topped his school[Pagewood Marist Bros] in Biology,Business Studies & English in his final exams.
