Reliably informed that the NSW hooking role is between McInnes and Cook.

It may well be that both play with one coming off the bench.

Cook was an outsider only a few weeks back but off the back of current form he's irresistible.

As a Queenslander, I hope they pick McInnes. I couldn’t care less how many tackles he makes. Making a million tackles was enough to compete in Origin in the 90’s, but if that’s all you can do now you are of no use to your team. I would hate to see Cook running around Scott, McGuire, Napa and Wallace at the back end of halves.

There is definitely that possibility but I think Mcinnes should just take a break. 80 minutes an origin level is a big ask for any hooker.

It's great to see Damien Cook really ripping it up for you blokes, I can't believe that he was overlooked by the Dragons and the Bulldogs. He has always struck me as someone with loads of talent. He can really like his chances for Origin but if Mcinnes is picked I won't be disappointed. Remember Fittler saying he is really looking at new blood and is leaving all positions open.

100% but I think 26 years old is still relatively young in a players career. (Cook’s age). I still believe Koroisau shouldn’t be ruled out of the equation either. He will really bring some xfactor to the NSW side.

They can select Munster, Taylor or Morgan in the halves or maybe even Milford since they gave him a crack last year despite how crap he was. I feel some of these Queensland halves are going to be Shane Warne'd. It reminds me of when Australia's golden age of cricket ended with McGrath, Warne etc retiring and everybody pumped up all of these spinners that took Warne's place and everyone said they would continue Australia's domination. And they didn't and some fizzed out very quickly.

DCE is the first QLD victim

Will be very interesting to see how the Maroons prepare in this series with no Thurston and Cronk which is going to drop them a peg this year.

Honestly, Koroisau is the player I want to get the gig the most. I think he’s the most experienced out of all of them and should benefit majorly from having a decent forward pack around him unlike the one he has at Manly.
