Channel Nine news just had a piece about Mullen's injury. Hagan has said Tighe will probably start in 5/8th, and Cooper will move into the centres. Could be a blessing in disguise, for our backline.

Well our record with hamstring injuries is atrocious to say the least.

At a club like the Roosters he'd be back in 2 weeks, here it'll probally drag on for four weeks only to have him tear it again.

Alot depends on the severity of the tear.

Its only a slight tear, and he is hopeful of playing for the schoolboys in their match next weekend. Wouldn't it be shattering for him if this particular injury ruled him out of the whole schoolboys tour.

Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. We're the laughing stock of the league, our injury-rate is incredible and our re-couperaton systems are ineffective and only complicate matters.

Let's home the latest wave of money helps to sort out the ineptitude in our conditioning support structures. Let's hope we don't spoil a great career because we couldn't provide adequate injury-prevention methods.

As you have said, our record for hamstring injuries is a worry. But our inability to keep even the fittest guys from getting injured is more than just bad luck. Kurt Gidley is our best trainer, and the fittest bloke at the club. Two separate training injuries, on the hamstrings, plus now the tear to Mullen, ought to ring alarm bells. Let's hope the powers that be have their hearing aids on.
