If matters are resolved in the right manner, maybe this will bring the players even closer and be the main reason for a very successful season.

Personally I think that Widdop to FB and Norman/Hunt in the haves +McInnes/Robson provides us with a much more balanced spine.
Add a couple of new wingers (at least 3 to fight it out for 2 possies) and Lomax/Lafai in the centres and we might actually have a squad that can challenge for the title.
What is still a glaring problem is the coaching set up.
Give McGregor the SOO squad and he is incapable of winning a premiership.
It is the most important appointment that the club has to make in order to take advantage of a squad capable of going all the way.
The only other question would be JDB's absence if that is what transpires.
Not insurmountable as we have plenty of back row depth.

It should be the Eels that cough up the 20k. Under the deal they will have 600k of cap space and we would be all done.

The difference is if Parra pay him the additional 20k he comes now or if they don't then he comes as soon as his next pay check comes through in the first week of January.

I reckon for the sake of the Christmas/New Year period just leave him there and he can start the new year fresh at the Dragons.

What is he really gonna achieve over the next 2 weeks that he can't make up for in the next 2 months of pre-season training?
