If the biggest imposter to ever pull on the red v gets a deal I'm done. The good clubs have a no dickhead policy hello the guy is a tosser he doesn't care he just wants his money for doing nothing. Other clubs start a petition to keep players I think we need to start one to get rid of him

I have a feeling he'll be signed to a one or two year deal between $400.000-500.000 per year. As Amone & Sullivan are probably a year or 2 away from playing first grade week in week out. Not saying I approve of it but if we get Milford I may have to punch a hole through the wall.

Yep
And if Norman’s retained it’ll be the end of Hook.

...none so blind as...?

As it’s panned out IMHO
had we started the year with Cody 1, Duff 6, Max 3 & Jack 12

...& with Cory, Brayden & Jordy on a jaunt to the ESL

...we’d now be top 4

- even with the injuries & suspensions

Both The Knights and Raiders now in the market for a half back/five-eight.

Hook giving young Amone plenty of development time in first grade.
Bud, unfortunately was injured and needs a few games, probably in KOE Cup, to really test the hammy fully.

Matt Dufty told to look elsewhere because, by all reports, he’s just a bit of a dickhead.
If they re-sign Norman it will be such hypocrisy.
X lots ( on the hypocrisy bit!)

Spend a bit of time around most top level NRL plonkers . . Most are first rate dickheads until they mature a bit. But hey what do we pay them for!

Agree, don’t want to stuff him up this early. He has to get that hammy right.

Club deserves to fail if they re-sign Norman. They'll be the laughing stock of the competition.

There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe what a joke Corey Norman is, both on and off the field.

Corey Norman has just weeks to convince Anthony Griffin that he has a future at the Dragons as they continue a massive roster overhaul to accommodate the development of junior talent

I would have thought that decision would take a nano second

I hate what I read in that article. This is what clubs that completely mismanage their salary cap or coaches that can't attract talent say. Evidence has proven we are an absolute chasm away from the serious sides. We have let go our best performing players from years gone by and we plan to use that cap space for what...some unproven junior?? This is wrong. This has played out too many times before. Bennett did exactly the opposite.

I dunno. Sounds like what Penrith did and has lead to their success in 20/21. Maybe not completely apples to apples, but very similar.

There's place for all those young blokes and a couple established stars from elsewhere. They don't warrant big money at this stage of their careers but they can all be in the mix for selection on the back of the departure of Lafai, McInnes, Dufty, Aitken, Frizell, Saab, Merrin, Graham.

I'm glad he is giving them a good run but you cant hold out another off season for bring in an elite player or two. There were players available but we just seem to be too slow to it.

Yeah, I don't mind the strategy. At the moment, the youngsters are too young & inexperienced. As these older fellas, McCullough, McGuire, Beale, Alvaro, Norman even Sims & Hunt, finish up you replace them with either one of our young guns, as Penrith have done, or if we don't have one, we go to market and get the best young talent in that position, as Storm have done.

Its a good, long term plan to rebuild and I trust Hook to know what he's doing in this regard.

So you think it makes sense to play season to season with massive cap space just sitting there not being spent???

I think we have always spent all our cap because you can't transfer these funds to the next season. What we have most probably done is front load some contracts making it easy to manage the cap in the following season.

Whatever the case our squad is abysmal compared to best clubs. Our coach is saying we don't need to spend when we are cutting our only point scoring machine....yikes

Trust the coach to wait for De Belin back news day to state he thinks Norman has been playing well and that he is a chance for a contract. All wreaks of the same misguided loyalty that led to Mary's demise. Norman should not even be considered beyond this year.
