That would defeat the purpose of having the players isolated in one location if you give them permission to come and go..

That is exactly the plan they are going ahead with. Players can come and go. Just need to self isolate when at home. No different to what most workers are expected to do if they have to be in the office/supermarket or whatever job they need to be at site.

Player goes home for the two weeks, and they live with a nurse who is at risk every day they work. On the 10th day of isolation, the asymptomatic nurse then spreads COVID-19 to the player who will now not show symptoms for 5-10 days, is contagious, and is returning to play.

The difference between what most workers are expected to do is that anyone still required to work is considered an essential service - Rugba League is not. Allowing players to come and go completely defeats the containment idea of playing in one stadium.

lol, Murdoch literally came out and said he would do everything he could to make afl bigger than nrl, and then we signed a lower value deal with him. We’ve not got a good track record of not bending over!
