Definitely. Players are disinterested, management is a shambles. The whole organisation needs an overhaul and to distance themselves from the old boys club
Im usually against clubs copping penalties for player indiscretions but if this is true then it's gone beyond just that and the Broncos themselves need to be held accountableAnyone else think this is the players not caring and/or possibly hoping the season gets axed because they're irrelevant this year?
The coach. Training staff. Nearly a dozen players... That's just insane. The penalties need to be huge.

Its hasn't effected the integrity of competition so probably not points (even though it wouldnt really matter the way their season is going) and definately not premierships, but a fine to the club substantial enough to make them blink an eye and crack down down on their players and staffWhat do you reckon the penalty should be? stripped of premierships without the possibility to accrue any further premiership points?

That is the protocol with the general public. I am almost certain that the agreement between the QLD govt (health dep) & the NRL would go much much further due to the NRL bubble bio security protocols that enable the competition to continue. They are allowed to go to restaurants after 14 days of isolation after being in Sydney. They did that. It just happens to be that this restaurant is within a pub. They probably should have confirmed if this was fine prior to doing so, but it is hardly the terror that is claimed.
I think in qld they are still allowed to. Did you see Cameron Smith and Ryan Papen... out at a cafe recently? I’m sure they were allowed to sit down restaurants and cafe but not pubs/ nightclubs after 14 days isolation post Sydney visits. That is the protocol with the general public. Just can them for season 2020. They won’t win another game anyway and the players dead set have no interest in playing.
Tevita Pangai Junior Breach Notice

The National Rugby League (NRL) today issued Brisbane Broncos player Tevita Pangai Junior with a breach notice after he failed to comply with the code's biosecurity protocols.
The notice alleges multiple breaches by Pangai Junior of the protocols over a period of time. The notice directs that Pangai Junior be excluded from the Broncos’ bubble and any NRL match day until such time that he can satisfy the NRL that he will comply with all biosecurity protocols.
It also proposes Pangai Junior be fined $30,000.
In determining the penalty Acting CEO Andrew Abdo considered the player’s apparent disregard for the rules.
“We believe this was a case of a player committing multiple contraventions of the protocols and showing a disregard for the league’s rules,’’ he said.
“We will do everything we can to protect our season. Players or officials who show they are unable to comply with the biosecurity protocols will be removed from club bubbles until we are satisfied that they will comply with the protocols. We believe in this case, Tevita has not been able to do that.”
“This decision protects the health of our playing squads and most importantly the general community.”
“I want to reiterate that the overwhelming majority of players and officials are doing the right thing and we thank them for that. Where there are breaches of protocols we will take immediate action to ensure no risk of infection.”
Happened earlier this month so test all involved and make them forfeit this week. They are playing Saturday so Fox will not pay some of their broadcast fees. Sue the Broncos for the same amount and News Ltd are effectively paying the fees but from a different entity
Cheers, Pete cleared it up in another thread.I think in qld they are still allowed to. Did you see Cameron Smith and Ryan Papen... out at a cafe recently? I’m sure they were allowed to sit down restaurants and cafe but not pubs/ nightclubs after 14 days isolation post Sydney visits.
