Jesus Christ, you pair make Kim Jung-Un look benevolent.

This isn't an opportunity to take financial or other advantage of the club's and players.

I literally said that maybe we should try giving everybody involved the freedom to decide whether they want to continue with the competition or not on an individual basis. I mean do you really think that sounds like what a dictator would say...

I think you need to take a few deep breaths and chill out.

100% disagree with the decision to base the Warriors out of the Gold Coast for the foreseeable future (if that rumour is true).

There are much more important things than rugby league right now. Give each team 1 point in fixtures that involve the Warriors and move on.

When are we going to get some decisive leadership in this league? We're still playing games with crowds as of last night, while every other sporting code has locked them out. Smacks of desperation for dollars over all else.

Cool Great.

So when the Titans, Knights and Cowboys hit the wall for lack of funds whilst clubs like Manly (With a sugar daddie) and the Sharks (With Assets they can firesale off) ride the wave will you be so keen on this idea then?

Edit - Sorry, quoted the wrong post.

The continuation of the comp isn't the number one priority.

Pumping even more money into it by recruiting new players is just an obnoxiously short sighted idea.

Has the NRL not made it clear they'll financially support clubs?

Mixed the post up with the poster wanting to do NRL Club social Darwinism

If the ARLC are clever about this, they will use this as an opportunity to take proper control of the clubs....

The clubs will start struggling for cash once they close their door. If they ask the ARLC for cash, the ARLC should be thinking very carefully about what they ask for in return

Rumour? It's on the Warriors website, it's confirmed.

Well then it's even more f**ked.

It says we'll stay for a week - well no, we've got Manly away the week after. Then unless the government lifts the self-quarantine policy (which sense says there's nothing happening in the next two weeks that will make that a viable decision) then no teams can come here, and we're still playing away - OR we're not playing, which makes the next two weeks a waste of time.

For f**k's sakes. Just call off the Warriors games, each team gets one point. Like I said in the Warriors forum, it would be like the Storm in 2010 - yes the non-playing of points does favour certain sides, but our draw is like that anyway with not everyone playing each other a fixed amount of times. So be f**king smart and just call these games off, let the players be with their families. There are more important things than one game of league a week.

Why would letting willing reserve graders take the place of NRL players that want to be with their families for the time being send all the clubs broke?

I'm not suggesting that all those reserves should get NRL contracts or anything.

If everyone else is going to work/school on filthy public transport. No reason why fit and healthy players can’t play while isolated. Until the government locks down the country or a player gets it. No reason to not play

congratulations - the village idiot can type.

I'm not sure why you are congratulating yourself?

In your stupid idea about how young people should all just carry on with their lives while the sick and elderly lock themselves away, did you think about the ones who need carers? In your dumb suggestion did you think about how they are generally those young people who are going to carry on with their lives coming into contact with other people carrying on with their lives who have caught coronavirus? Said carer then catches the virus and passes it onto the elderly person they are caring for, and then old person dies all because you're a selfish merkin who thinks footy is more important.
