Good boys. What a brave force we have
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/taser-used-on-ill-pensioner/story-e6freuy9-1226451234239
You would rather you kid grew up to be a pedo than a cop

You have to keep those 84 year olds with dementia in line. After all, if you just
follow orders, you have nothing to worry about.

"The incident was examined by NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch, who found the officers' response was "reasonable"."

"NSW Labor MP Walt Secord made the information request after the government refused to answer a question about Taser use in parliament.

He was told the information was not readily available, and providing it would be an "unreasonable diversion of resources from frontline policing"."

Er, Pete and Tiger. Instead of getting on a league Forum and lecturing us, why don't you do something productive about this matter, like, say, signing a petition or lobbying your local member.

Here's a start: http://www.communityrun.org/petitions/save-the-right-to-silence

Done. That was a worthwhile contribution for a change.

I believe informing people will get more signatures on that petition than saying nothing
at all, even if it "just" a league forum. Your attitude to civil liberties is elitist to the point
of being unhelpful.

He has dementia.

And was attacking/threatening his wife and possibly them with a deadly weapon. What should they have done? Asked him nicely?

Show us the number of people who have been tasered while not attacking someone/stealing something/breaking the law. Behave, and you should hold no fear of being tasered.

Yep, informing people on a rugby league forum on a thread dedicated to Craig Field will do that.

If you think I'm elitist, my trolling you is working

p.s. Has ALDI opened in Crows Nest, you could bulk buy your aluminum foil from there?

p.p.s. Were you born this dumb? Or did you have to work hard at it?

He doesn't have the mental faculties to behave, as you put it. Surely there is a better
way to pull down an 84 year old man who doesn't know who he is with a stanley knife.

I tried to split the thread off into a purely political thread, it was re-merged. It was
never my intention to hijack the thread.

I think you are a dope. Any lawyer worth his salt could have picked holes in that
electrocution essay, and your earlier outburst in this thread would suggest that your
motives regarding trolling are not what you claim them to be.

Your ad hominem attacks don't fool anyone, except your acolytes like Jason Maher
and Bottle.

I dont care how old he is, it doesnt take much to stick a knife in someone and do some damage. f**k wrestling with some crazy f**ker holding a knife when you have a taser.

What do you wish to accomplish by corresponding with me in this thread?

You keep the thread alive. I also know that by and large you agree with me, which
tickles my sense of humour.

I mean lets face it, whoever heard of a civil libertarian who is in favour of taser use.
They don't exist.

.

If there is, then why don't you let us all know? From the article it would appear that the police used pepper spray first before having to use the taser.

Yes they do. I like Tasers.

What do you like about them?

When I spoke to an electrocution expert at ausgrid recently, he was very
surprised that a civil libertarian would be in favour of them. "I didn't
know they existed", was his response. lol.

They have slipped through somehow, so I guess they must be out there
somewhere.
