BRUNO CULLEN: No, the legal advice wasn't to not tell. They decided generally as a group that they should just button up and see where that took them. They were angry and I don't even know if they knew who they were angry at. I don't know if they were angry with Dank or Elkin or the other staff members or who they were angry at, angry at themselves. There are players who might have said this is getting to me, this is too much. I'd really like to let everybody know at least my role in what it was so I don't get effected long term. But again that group mentality, I guess, took over or prevailed and so the group subsequent to those times stayed rock solid as a group.

BRUNO CULLEN: My firm advice was that they shouldn't do anything at all with regard to the reinstatement of the staff until such time as the ASADA investigation had been completed.

I'd like to go on record as stating that I feel for the Sharks fans. Any true RL fan must have some sympathy for them. All we want to do as fans is turn up, see our players have a good dig and have a trust that the club that we invest so heavily financially and emotionally is being well run. It shouldn't be too much to ask!

Not sure where to for the Sharks, they are clearly a basketcase from top to bottom in terms of maangement and governance. The new board seem just as inept as the old one and the financial issues are not going away. Either the NRL is going to revoke their license or at the very least will expect a major turn around in the way the club is run. Hopefully the latter. For all people think I death ride clubs I would not want to see the Pirates admitted because fans of another club had lost their team to support.

Well said. I would be f**king devo if the Dragons were kicked out of the comp. I honestly like the sharks (even though that knowledge will cop me a ban from the saints forum :D) and I really feel for their supporters, as they've been going through shit storm after shit storm...
Any1 who wishes the demise of any club is NOT a league fan IMO. There's rivalry and friendly banter and then there's just being a dick smoker like Kmav...
I still remember crying as a young fulla when my "2nd team" Norths were shafted :(

This is going to get nasty. The NRL are pissed about the board reinstating 4 of the staff cut earlier in the year and have made it clear that clubs aren't just going to get funding because thru need it.

I wish the Sharks club all the best but I can see this being an excuse to get Perth into the comp at the expense of a Sydney club

What 4 staff did they reinstate?

Still waiting Diesel.

Where to from here? The semi finals son. This story is a re hash of old issues. There is no new information available. The clubs going ok. As a supporter I'd love for the front office to be doing better, but compared to 2011 we are streets ahead in that department.

Anyone curious as to why the ABC got the story and not one of the other agencies?
This is the real big issue here. I'm surprised one of the usual suspects hasn't enunciated it more succinctly.

Clearly the ABC (otherwise known as the unofficial media arm of the ALP) was issued with instructions by the ALP to whip up some more flak over the Sharks story in order to distract voters from Labors poor pre election poll results. It's just so obvious.

You know it makes sense.

Possibly earlier then expected.

Seriously though, listening to Smith talk about Cronulla since the ASADA investigation began, and reading between the lines, I don't think he will re-new their NRL License once it expires.

Shame, I'm one of the very few Saints fans who deep down likes Cronulla - no-one should be kicked out or re-located.
