But I thought "Queenslanders were far more supportive."
If that was the case, wouldn't the Bronco's crowd average be higher?
Are they only "far more supportive" when "they mixed it up more so only the occasional game was on Friday people would be more excited about the prospect of going"?
Yeah excitement has a lot to do with it. You would be surprised with how many people in Brisbane dont support the Broncos. Friday night games are getting so boring... Ticket prices are annoying too. I remember in 2008 our cowboys round 3 game (50,612) tickets for children were halved on the friday of the game, word got out and people were streaming in.
When it comes to club games we may not be far more supportive. But on a state level, of course we are.

How are ticket sales going for Dogs v Eels?

That's pathetic considering all the success the Bronco have that should be averaging 40k minimum for a one team town for all there achievements it's under performing attendance wise. Also, a case for 2nd Brissie team if people do not support the Broncos.
So there needs to be incentives for Queenslanders to go Broncos game? Like half priced kids tickets and only have games on other days?
But when a blokes birthday celebration catches on, suddenly its NSW trying to entice fans to games. (if you're unsure of how Blatcheys blues started, look it up)

If there is no Bronco's on a sunday then do people go and support teams in the QLD cup.TV.
Origin is the pinnacle of rugby league, and being at Lang park during an origin game is something you simply cannot experience elsewhere. The buzz and excitement and passion are worth the price of ticket alone and that's all experienced well before a ball is even kicked.
The broncos on the other hand are on every single Friday night at the same location and as such people are less excited about going and just as happy to watch it a home with a couple of mates and a carton of beer for a tenth of the cost.
If they mixed it up more so only the occasional game was on Friday people would be more excited about the prospect of going, as it stands now the tv stations are dictating when they must play and it significantly impacts crowds.
As for no Sunday games in Brisbane - thats a whole other issue - Sunday games are proven to be more popular for fans to attend, especially in a nice climate.
