A bit over 250K for the 12 games so far this year. Looking over the last 10years the record for the first 2 rounds is about 316K in 2005. 66K required in the 4 remaining games for a new record - average of about 16.5 K. It will probably go close. I don't think the crowds have been so bad given last week's weather.

Your post should have started with a "Warning, brain dead idiot about to post".

The CC crowd was under 3k of a sell out with 2 out of town teams once again coming up for a cash grab. Yet you consistently dismiss the area's support if they had their own club to go see.

Keep bagging this region though, you're an ace at that.

Quick, give SEQLD another team now because people are lining up for miles and days to get into the stadiums.....

Looked like 90% of the crowd had Manly or Wests jerseys on, not much Red and black in the crowd. Are you expecting those Manly fans to support the Bears in the future?

The problem is their not growing. 2005 was 7 years ago, it should of been beaten in 2006.

Year on year:
2005 3.27m
2011 3.46m
A bit over 5% growth
Not much but it's better than a drop.
The point about Tasmania's trial game isthat their is adifference in culture. For many reasons I think Sydney and Brisbane people would rather watch their sport on TV than attend.

That titans crowd figure is a deadset worry.

Surely something needs to be done about the stadiums QLD charging them $300k a game there, GC crowds should not be this low.

But statistics can be manipulated.
2005 was a very good year.
If you compare 2001 to 2011 there has been nearly a 30% increase over the 10 years

The club and fans need to stand up to the f**kers.

2005 was a good year compared to 2006. 2011 was 25k Less than 2010 largely because there was no Sydney blockbuster pre

Iam always looking forward to the NRL season but then get dumped back to reality with the disappointing crowds for some games teams.
IC need to hurry with the whole picture with prices, kick off times and schedules and teams not getting the support.

There were more neutral fans then both Manly/Tigers fans there. We have our own support core ready and growing. Perhaps maybe worry about your own back yard and trying to convert those people into Reds/Sage fans because as far as that goes (making sure people turn up week in, week out), I'd say your potential club would have the hardest job in front of them.

In comparison with average crowds rather than the aggregates I used above.
2006-2011
AFL 0% growth
NRL 5% growth
