The fact that it's the opening game and yet Broncos are under-performing already shows how it's supporters and the club takes Brisbane for granted despite all that success they had all over the years. I mean the first game of the season should be 40k+ minimum or sell out surely, how many excuses does Broncos fans need to not show up for god sake. All the advantages they have yet fail to capitalize.

I agree it should be 40+ ive said that.

TIt's amazing how the weather always screws up the NRL season.

haha, we play in winter, it rains and gets cold in winter. Why does it come as a surprise to people?

The move to more evening games obviously makes it worse, especially temp wise but we really need to stop using the weather as an excuse, it is going to rain, time we dealt with it!

Due to NQ's wet season there should be no home games in Townsville until the first weekend of April. There should be no arvo games in Qld for the first month either and the Storm should get 2 home games in before the AFL starts

Yeah, but you don't have to sit in it, week in, week out.

We do.

If they put a roof on either ANZ or Allianz (or both) the crowds will definitely rise.

Yeah all the bleedin upgrades spent on Kogarah/Centrebet etc and you think they have cover from the rain and yeah ANZ and SFS should have roofs ala Millenuim in Wales.

I'm calling it now.

Brisbane v Manly will have a larger crowd than Eastern Suburbs v South Sydney.

pink cushions on the seats and someone to bring you a gin and tonic as well? :sarcasm:

An unrequited post. Especially when other sports in Australia have roofs on venues for this exact reason

It's still possible. Hopefully this isn't one of those situations where they call the game sold out when it isn't anywhere near it.

On ticketek's website only the Souths supporter section is listed as having "limited availability". All the other sections seem to have plenty of tickets.

Based on that and the fact the game is 3 days away, I say 30-35k.
