Iam no troll but care for the sport.
SOO would sell out Sydney if it had 2 games if it was a stand alone weekend.
Regarding teams it seems a curse when a team like e.g.Penrith and St.Merge gets a stadium upgrade the crowds seem to drop. The likes of West Tigers I think the fans want to stop getting f**ked about having 4 different venues as that's going piss off fans and not turn up as there will not know where there coming or going and that goes for Souths playing out of ANZ when really they should be playing out of the SFS yet West Tigers use it as one of there many homes ?.
Not only is the Australian sporting landscape is cluttered to f**k with having 4 f**king codes (more so Sydney) but Sydney Rugby League is cluttered with too many teams and even more so too many stadiums.

I wish someone on this thread could explain it better then what I have tried but I suspect I just get called a troll.

BTW fingers cross that Roosters get the crowds after round 1.

I agree, it looks better, but it doesn't bother me enough to obsess over it like everyone else does.

At the end of the day, I'd rather watch it on Telly - especially because you usually can watch two games that way (3 on a Saturday). If you go to the game you generally miss other games on that day because you're stuffing around with transport to and from the game.

No need to apologise to anyone, getting on the piss with your mates and not having far to fall, rewinding if necessary to prove a point,
not putting up with shit lighting, exhorbitant petrol prices, lining up on stuffed knees and ankles, see 8 games for the price of Fox . . .
all that's just by the way. The real worry is the dreaded first leak and one for every beer afterwards, lot to be said for around the
corner of the man cave.

Why watch it on TV when you could get out in the fresh air and watch the game live?

It's not easy and it's not cheap.

I buy 3 adult season tickets, an out of town ticket and 4 kids memberships.

All out of my pocket.

I had to make the choice: support the team and go OR watch it all on Fox. I chose the team, but on cold wet nights in winter sometimes I want to just stay in.

NRL on a week to week basis is very costly - travel, tickets, food & drinks (if you want to; I don't), footy guide, etc.

Plus the times aren't very family friendly. Can't really take my kids to a Thursday night match; Monday night is a write-off. And the weather is more bearable in the afternoon, and more conducive to people going, esp if cold, and damp/wet. But there are more night games.

Personally, I go to games. But you have to understand why RL people don't. And it's something the NRL really need to look at too.

Some thing thing wrong where Rugby League is the best egg ball code over NFL/CFL/Union/AFL and its still not there.
In truth nothing wrong RL just the f**kin sheep who follow Soccer or Union and at the end of the day show some stupid yank a SOO grand final and compare that to the shit of the Super Bowl.
Life is f**king wrong and Rugby League should be bigger the pen a kick Union or non touch the surface touchdown NFL and Aussie Rules how can you do jumpers for goal posts.

Surely with it being the first game of the year there should be a big average all round, surely league fans can turn up for the first game of the year with everything being a clean slate.
