42k despite it raining throughout the week is a great effort by Brisbane, despite the result it was one of the best games of the year.
funny how we get upset at a 22.5k crowd these days. back in my day, blah blah.
to be honest it looked about 25-27k on tv and i think that was a par crowd for the game nowadays anyway. so not that far off.
a centralised stadium and marketing policy will go a long way to making it 35k next time around.
That is ridiculous. How could you sell a membership that couldn't get you into a sellout.A "Sydney" NRL membership that gets you into all your clubs home and away games in Sydney would also help boost crowds dramatically.

How many games sell out purely to home members? You could make tickets avail to away club members three weeks before the game, any places not filled by then go on general sale. Seeing most games sold out three weeks before the game would drive memberships.
Any stadium that doesn't have a min 20k capacity shouldn't be used.
Maybe only with ANZ and selected Allianz matches..?

NRL needs to sell memberships that get people into Nippon Ham Fighters away games
The return match at ANZ was always going to be the crowd puller for the Dogs v Roosters, dogs hate the roosters, why would they wanna help their crowd average? Come ANZ with the dogs getting players back and probably some good form, you'll see a good crowd that'll let their feelings known.
Except that game is the week before origin and both teams a likely to be missing a few.
Any doggies fans who didn't go to the game and say "I don't want to help the Rosters coffers"... If you truly believe this you're a d*ckhead or just plain lazy.
