Hopefully that game, crowd and atmosphere sets the tone for the weekend. Starting with Gosford and Newcastle tonight.

43k great work. Newie should draw well against broncos but manly/cows will be bad guarantee. I see eels/tiger comfortably beating today crowd by 7k aleast. Going for 50k since there still time to promote and the teams involved.

Buzz has already written his article about the 8k drop from last year

Well i hope Buzz on balance writes about the 30k increase for the Eels vs Wests game......................that would be balanced, i wont be holding my breath tho........:lol::lol:

Imagine tigers v eels had been a double header with rabbitohs v dogs.

Or they should have at least sold tickets that get you into both games.

Maybe those 8k missing are neutrals going on Monday instead?

Okay so we have the first excuse Bunniesman will use when the Wooden spooners outdraw the self proclaimed largest clubs in Sydney.

Please limit the excuses, let us Eels fans have our fun with him....;-)

The 43k today is actually more impressive than the 51k last season, last year they had no competition from any other big powerhouse clash, this season there up against two rejuvenated teams in the Eels and Tigers in which many neutrals are excited to see.

This 43k today is better than the 51k under the circumstances

I don't get this obsession with double headers. It cheapens each game. If Monday's game gets 55k the cumulative total for those two games is more than the capacity of ANZ stadium anyway. Keep on working on selling each game on its own merits. It's not improbable to see each of these games in 5 years time getting 60k each.
