I don't get this obsession with double headers. It cheapens each game. If Monday's game gets 55k the cumulative total for those two games is more than a capacity and stadium anyway. Keep on working on selling each game on its own merits. It's not improbable to see each of these games in 5 years time getting 60k each.

that's true.

for crowd averages we'd have to get 83k for a double header and it would average to 41.5k per game. it's easier to get 40k to 2 games than 80k to a double header.

just back from the game, what an atmosphere

doggies fans were going crazy at the end

we were sitting right in front of the dogs coaches box, dessie actually looked happy at full time

fantastic crowd too, didnt expect it to break 40k, they delayed kick off as people kept coming in

based on Pax numbers you would expect monday to now break 50k

be nice if we could crack 100k aggregate for the 2 games

Most of the singing is piped in chanting coming over the loud speaker. I'm sitting right behind the burrow and they have nothing. Sucks they put all the kennel and season ticket holders on level 4. Should have setup a similar bay on the other side for the dogs army.

kennel was behind the sticks at the southern end.

I realised that later. I sat on l4 for a while but then swapped seats with someone else so I could sit closer to the field. Still that souths chant over the pa cheapens the supporters who then don't make an effort. The dogs army was going crazy for the last 20mins.

Can a souths supporter explain the point of the burrow members putting their hands in the air and wiggling their fingers?

Okay so we have the first excuse Bunniesman will use when the Wooden spooners outdraw the self proclaimed largest clubs in Sydney.

Please limit the excuses, let us Eels fans have our fun with him....;-)

As a neutral I would definitely prefer to go to Mondays game.

Bunniesman was silly to say a definite 50k.

without farah i doubt mondays game will be as good a spectacle as todays

hope the tigers forwards stand up to make the difference, with farah in it wouldve been a much closer game, still upsets can happen

todays game was the best game ive seen all year

thats the best ive seen souths play all year and somehow dogs still snatched it

Dogs fans absolutely owned the Bunnies fans today.

Dogs' cheering was authentic and loud, while the bulk of Souths cheering was from a recorded PA.
