Based on what most people expected the crowd was good.

I dont know if that makes me feel better or worse....

Not feeling too confident of a decent crowd for the dogs v knights. About 5k here at the moment. Usually a lot more before a game.

Being happy with 13k for anybody in any circumstances is setting the bar pathetically low. This is 2 SYDNEY teams in an afternoon timeslot with no rain. 3k below last seasons overall average should not be satisfactory.

Sydney is a very large area. Cronulla and Penrith are over an hour apart when driving. 3pm Saturday is a terrible time slot for families that have kids playing sport as well.

We are about to see an NRL crowds record broken tonight or tomorrow in the early game.

We need just another 16,498 fans to attend games this weekend to break the record for best attendance figures over a two week period.

Last season rounds six and seven drew a total of 324,481 fans and that is the record. Last weeks round drew 169,408. Which meant we needed to draw 155,074 fans this weekend to beat the record. So far in five games we have pulled 138,576 fans through the gate.

So there we go, the game supposedly in crisis is about to break attendance record

Fully agree. Our media do us no favours.

Then all the hack journalists start writing articles about a controversial obstruction call to deny penrith the win. Post it on fb, get 100 comments from people saying they wont watch until the refs are good.

The media sucks.

Overall a fantastic round with two sunday afternoon games at Leichhardt and Brookvale which should be packed. So much for 'code in crisis' lol at media.

Canterbury vs. Cronulla
Wests Tigers vs. Penrith
Canberra vs. Parramatta
Cowboys vs. Titans
Manly vs. Newcastle

There is a chance to have 4 Anzac matches next year

8pm Broncos vs Rabbitohs

(have representation in 3 states and 1 territory)

or

2pm Warriors vs Storm (at Eden Park)

This will be a one off year, no chance the Broncos will play on any day other than Friday but I wouldn't put it by 9 or the Broncos to change ANZAC Day to April 24 next year
