i actually think they are confused.

they don't know who they are or where home is. the sydney supporters aren't going to travel down the coast for a night game, the wollongong based people aren't doing the opposite. + they play all over the place.

this year home games at ANZ, SCG, the Gong, Kogarah, and Allianz.

you'd need a lot of free time to get to all the home games + a secretary to keep track of where you needed to be to see them. it's insane.

can't see the dogs, souths game getting more than 25k on a thursday which is a shame

A game like this should be getting 50 k on a Sunday arvo, this close to the semi's. The NRL have sold our game to Channel Nein, and Channel Nein don't give a f**k about our game.

The problem is the group of Saints fans who show up to Kogarah in favor of a more modern venue also happen to be the most exceptionally loud part of their fan base. As such, the net result is that people buy into this idea that Kogarah is a better long term option than the SFS or ANZ. Whether that's true or not is a different matter.

St's have great potential to be a Sydney wide team like the bigger clubs such as souths and bulldogs but need to break their suburban shackles to make that step. Maybe their current financial plight will motivate them to modernise and change. There current model is not sustainable and the NRL can't keep bailing them out.

They are half Wollongong, and base a lot of their training stuff down there....

They would be better off shifting down to WIN fulltime.

St George is a bit of a worry,

Traditonally one of the best supported clubs in NRL

Basically moves the whole operation to Wollongong, while a nice place, has small population and limited corporates

What is actually left at St George ... ?? besides doust and 400 pokies ??

Do the players live in area ? Do they train in area ? Do they do any community work there ?

From outside looking in, it feels like they have become a regional team..

Yeah, basically a regional team who play most of their home games in Sydney, because of Doust....

Shuffle the whole thing down the coast, and bring a few blockbusters to Sydney.

wouldn't this alienate most of the their support base.

I would have gone the other way. exist in Sydney and play a few games in Woolongong.

they are a traditionally very well supported.

Yep... I'm not going to this game! I refuse to go thursday night games after last week! The game doesn't start till 8pm... Doesnt finish till 9.45pm! I didn't get home till close too 11pm, don't get to bed till well after midnight (Shower, relax etc)! Then I have to get up at 5.40am, I was wrecked at work... I don't mind friday night games because next day, no work! F channel 9!

I don't mind monday night games... Atleast they finish around 8.40pm.

Yeah the starting times are getting ridiculous. They advertise a 7:45 start which is a joke in itself and then are lucky to start by 8PM on a work/school night. The NRL should take a lesson from FIFA, The FA etc. and start the game at 7:30 on the dot. Channel 9 can broadcast from 7PM for their pre-show and ads for all I care.

I dread the roosters/souffs RD26 game, it probably won’t start until 8:15.

Massive overreactions here. Yes the Kogarah crowd was poor, but it was also the first sub 10K at the venue since 2007. To say Dragons fans hate the place is a bit extreme.

I actually think the Dragons have the mix right. 4 games at Kogarah, 4 at WIN and 4 at the big venues. Isn't that what most of you have been advocating for anyway?

A lot of Dragons supporters were pissed off with the decision to move games to the big stadiums, so that might have something to do with why their fans have stopped showing up in protest.

Our crowd against a team like NQ when the weather all day was ordinary was nothing short of outstanding. How often do games in Sydney involving NQ get anywhere near 17k? Brilliant work.

The attendance may have been even better if Adult General Admission tickets were cheaper than $27.

Seriously gotta be a rule to TV execs.

Cannot choose the same team 2 Mondays in a row

How frustrating for pennies

Best season in 10 Years and you get Monday. Bathurst. Monday. Monday

Went to the Broncos on Saturday.

38 bucks for GA at the gate. No wonder they rarely sell-out.

You got ripped off $1, I paid $37 for GA a few weeks back. It's ridiculous pricing and it's not like the Bronocs are close to a top 4 team -not that that should be taken into account. GA should range between $20-30

The Broncos are seriously deluded with ticket prices. They had a family special for the Knights game of 1 Adult & 1 kid for $40 or $50. Why not 2 Adults & 2 kids or 1 Adult 3 kids?
