Confirms my theory that most Sydney clubs have around the 11k paying fans mark, give or take a couple of thousand depending on day and weather.

Time the NRL stepped up and used the money being generated by Monday nights to do something about see embarrassing crowds. We are in Aleague territory most Mondays.

Poor crowd but fans of all teams are voting with their feet. We hate Monday nights. And noone can bag our crowd when for a Monday night its better than what Easts got on the weekend.

We can still bag it. You only got 11k, thats a shit poor effort.

Shame about the Roosters, Cowboys & Rabbitohs crowds. The other 3 were very positive for games during the SOO period.

Proof positive that PR is just one long elaborate troll account.

Went to the game last night and knew it wasn't going to be a good turnout as soon as I saw an empty pub outside the stadium. What a pain in the ass Monday night games are. By the time you get home and shower its almost 11.

Crowd probably about 10000 Souths to 2000 Dragons supporters which isn't the worst considering they had to pay to get in and it was a Monday night.

We're stuck with 4 Monday night games this year.

Anyone know what the Eels have to get this week against the Cowboys for our home crowd average to remain over 20k?

Absolutely pitiful crowd by the “pride” of the league. To get only 11k against their 2nd biggest rivals is a disgrace. “Success” (the souffs version) is wasted on this mob.

It is further proof of the myth that is the souffs membership base.

FACT: Rorters are the only club in the history of RL to win a Premiership and have their average crowd figure almost halved the following season.

Oh what rubbish. That's rich coming from the mob that can't get decent crowds off the back of a premiership. Our crowds are higher than yours and have been for years and will be forever.

Terrible effort, even considering it was a Monday night.

Two Massively supported and membered teams. Should've been 20k at least.

The fault of this supposed poor crowd is down to Souths managements decision to play their home games at ANZ. They can posture all they want but the majority of their rusted on fan base, the people who actually go to games, are geographically based around Redfern/botany etc and those people are simply not up to trekking out to Homebush and back on a Monday night.

I was talking to a few people at the Sharks Souths game at Remondo 2 weeks ago and a few Souths supporters admitted relief at being able to get to a Monday night game as it was actually IN South Sydney.

Wail all you want about Fox, the NRL but this low crowd is the fault of Souths management and no one elses.

Does anyone have charts or figures for this years total attendance against last years for this round ? Might be useful to have on the first page of the thread, used to be done in years past.

Unfortunately due to the fact you can't edit a post after 30 days that's not possible anymore.

However in Game Day Spoilers we do have the 2014 Draw and 2013 Draw threads which do what you're after.

that's the problem with the draw, they scheduled a blockbuster game during origin on a Monday night. The scheduling this year has really been atrocious.
