Broncos Vs Eels is never really a high drawing fixture.

Typically it gets 25k, I remember a 30,800 or so in 2009 and a 38,000 in 2010.

The 2010 anomaly was because we were desperate for the win, just like tomorrow but Parramattas form was burning, and similar to that of their charge in 2009. But i think we may get closer to 35+ for the Newcastle and Bulldogs (Thursday fk you NRL).

- These days we are running with poor advertisement.
- Lame game days.
- And the worst Broncos team yet.

Canberra should be getting a season high crowd this saturday against the doggies. Its a saturday afternoon against high drawing opposition who are both fighting out for the 8 making every 2 points like gold dust. Plus the timeslot doesn't clash with local footy. Anything less than 15k is a failure and it should be pushing high teens.

What i don't get about rugby league fans is that when we have 7 teams between 5th and 11th none of which is guaranteed finals but fans are not backing their team on mass week in week out to help them over the line. In fact those clubs have all recorded drops except a marginal increase in canberra (albeit from a low base of approx 10k).

Why shouldn't we expect 90% capacity at newcastle for a key game in their season against melbourne? Or a similar turnout at canberra for two sides fighting for their destiny in 2013. Again i think this goes back to too many games on TV and dramatically over priced ticketing.

Surprise surprise another round without an afternoon game in sydney :/

Brisbane's first ever sell-out was against Parra in 89. I remember sitting on the concrete in the outer with thousands if others and there were Eels fans everywhere.

Although we'd hope it'd be alot better, it should be remembered that, for one reason or another, the Parra game has seemed to be a relatively low drawer since the Bronc's moved back to Lang Park. Even when both teams were somewhat competitive.

Mid-20's seems to be the go for most of them. Brisbane have averaged over 30K since 2005.

Tonight is Phase 1 of our plan to get 100,000 fans through the gates for our remaining 3 games and in doing so to get the #1 crowd in Sydney crown and the #2 team overall crown and to be just the 5th Sydney team in history to get an average of 20,000.

The plan is for Gosford to deliver 20,000 of those 100,000. You can do it Central Coasties! Turn Bluetongue into a sea of red and green. Make it packed with the Rabbitoh Army.

Whats the disparity between Gameday PAX and actual roll up like at Lang Park, SLR? Low-30s a chance?

Its really interesting JW.

Last year I didn't have a membership, I booked tickets on the game days (anywhere from 8am-5pm) and for the big games against cowboys etc they were always about 3-4k below. For the smaller drawers like Canberra they were under 1000 up on the Pax. Rain days were usually a few hundred below.

Where as this year they have all been BELOW, Bunnies was 1000 Below, Cowboys game was almost 4000 below but it was raining.

I believe this is a direct result of the good Reds team, a lot of rugby fans have invested in a Stadium membership for this year, and they seem to ruin the Broncos crowds. I hear there were even a large amount of corporates that booked stadium memberships to guarantee Lions game seats.

For the dragons game 5 days ago I got tickets on game day at midday for some mates, and the pax was 34,500. Crowd was 31,199. So im thinking tonight will be anywhere from 25-28. I will be shocked if its close to the pax in all honesty. I hope im proven wrong!

Ah true, didn't think of that. Spose that explains, from a TV viewing perspective, the increased sparsity on the lower level on the non-broadcast side of the ground then? Seems to be a thinner sprinkling of peeps there this year, even when the ends are fairly chockers.

Yeah your spot on, It was really interesting at the Broncos v Cows game this year, the lower east was IMO 25% full, middle east teir 45% full and the Level 7 east was 95% plus.

I have a little bit of a gut feeling there may be more members here tonight, in comparison to Sunday, we shall see.

Hmmm more empty spaces at Suncorp than Wests Tigers defence. Pretty piss poor effort Broncs can't attract these days many 40,000 plus crowds.
