I still think that scheduling two Sydney blockbusters each weekend

Yeah that's way to do it. Parra v Tigers on the Easter monday. Same rule as Good Friday Easter Show, both teams members free. Stuff like that is the way forward.

When I was 1st a member they had $5 tickets for away games. Things like that will help in the less attractive games.

That with $10 GA tickets no reason we can't add 2k to all crowds. No doubt the NRL would need to fund it but no reason they van't.

Agreed re: Sydney blockbusters. With the number of teams in the city it is a no-brainer to try and get at least one fantastic clash scheduled for each round in a crowd friendly time.

One area that legacy teams could improve their crowds in is in games against teams like the Cowboys. Those are often crowd poison in Sydney, notwithstanding that they are often entertaining. Beats me why: I like seeing every team.

Yeah beats me either. Though I am sucker for punishment watching Penrith play every week. Though if you fix up the GA pricing (Goes for up there as well) you will get more through the gates for all games

Souths season ticket holders had to go via Ticketek to print a ticket for the Gosford / Manly game so they could figure out the numbers and sell the unallocated tickets.

One week of cheap tickets is good but will most likely have little to no impact. It needs to be a more regular thing to actually get people to notice and get them coming back through the gates. Doing it for 1 week when the clubs season is probably over coming off a thrashing against a poor drawing team won't do much.

Seems on the low side for tomorrow night.

Edit: This from the Broncos' Member Mail:

The crowd is currently tracking towards 25,000 tomorrow night. If you were able to encourage two people to get along to the game, and every member did the same, we would have encouraged 52,000 people by the end of the day. If only 10% of them attend we start pushing towards 30,000 and creating the same volume and support that was there on Sunday. The noise generated on Sunday was magic, and the boys need that same magic back tomorrow night to help push them to their absolute limits and keep our chances of a top eight finish alive. We are all in this together so let’s use whatever means we can – Facebook, Twitter, Email, SMS - to help us build the support. Every little bit is sure to count!

Broncos seem to do little by way of promotions for these unattractive games. The game I went to cost me $60 and it was during SOO when the best players from both sides were missing. Broncos seem somewhat blase about memberships as well when you consider their avg is 31883 but there memberships are only at 26,000 (with many less than that being full season members). Probably one of the few clubs with a much bigger crowd avg than membership.
