I live in Paddington, 2km from the CBD and it closes at 5pm on a Saturday!

Lucky b'stard! Many moons ago (before the turn of the millenium) I lived at Paddington: Bowler Street. Sadly this was during the Broncs time away at ANZ, but I made a couple of Origins, Queensland Cup finals and Tests.

Loved the convenience. Most money I blew (excluding the bar!) was when the old man and myself got top notch tickets for the Aus v GB Tri-nations game in '99. They don't sound that expensive now, I suppose, but it was like $50 each. When we got to the ground, we discover that it is mostly empty. Worst Test crowd I've ever been in.

Also, while reminiscing, remember a "busy" day spent at the Paddo Tavern before making my way with a flatmate down to the Burleigh v Redcliffe final. Can't remember anything of the game, but distinctly recall collecting a mock Gold Coast Bulletin front page that was being distributed at the end with "Bears Win" or some such.

Loved the old Lang Park to death. Too bad I don't live as close to the new one these days.

That's as bad as no shops open until 11am on Sundays in Adelaide (except the bottle shops).

First time at WIN stadium last night for me. For a smallish crowd was a great atmosphere. Dragons Army and the Sharks equivalent were awesome.

It might be an ordinary Bledisloe crowd but it will double the number of fans that attended three NRL games today.

And the owned by the 2 sydney origin crowds.

I've heard some people say the Bloodyslow crowd was great.

I'd bet these same people would be bagging an Origin attendance at ANZ of just 68k.

The crowd at Gosford on Friday was very good but the actual figure must be a gee up. The record was 20059 (multiple times) and this game happened to have got 20060.

I dare say they can't actually post a total more than that for OH&S reasons. Either way the ground was full.

Souths V Bulldogs friday night... What is everyone expecting? All Bulldog members get in for free! I'm hoping for 42K (Weather pending)... Anything less then would be disappointing. I'm confident the Bulldogs will lift for this game.

Best suburb, love it. Im on Terrace, so very close to bowler, but you had it closer! Stumbling up that final hill is a bit tedious.

My father lived on Guthrie street when he was at uni, yonks ago, and he has his little reminisce at every game he goes too. (And again Friday night)

Obviously the gatekeeper at Henson Park also works at Bluetongue.

The Storm can certainly draw a crowd on the road.

Biggest crowd of the year at Hunter Stadium I'm guessing.
