Freebie need to be done in a certain way.

Eg: Tickets exclusively to a minority group. for example, the Knights giving them exclusively to the miners. This gives a goodwill feeling to the club for supporting the little guy without making the other fans jealous that they didnt get free shit.

OR Early bird deals encouraging people to commit to games early.

OR cheap tickets for kids to encourage parents to go along with the kids. Parents would usually be happy to pay full price for themselves, but once youre buying 3 or 4 full price tickets it really starts to add up.

The main thing they need to avoid is, on game day realising that they havent sold as many as they would have likes, and just shovelling free tickets to whoever they can. This is demeaning for people that bought the tickets early because they actaully wanted to go.

The rest are great, but AVOID THIS ONE!!!

Agreed I mean I remember being impressed with Paris first game in the Super League with 16000 then I read all ticket's were free which didn't seem right.

SL clubs often run "friends for a fiver" deals which is another good idea. Pay for a full ticket and you can bring a mate for $5. Great way of introducing mates who might not be RL fans to the footy.

I hear a crowd but I don't see a crowd. Is the crowd noise being piped through the public address system?

Wouldn't expect many tigs supporters after the season they've had . But couldn't they have run some sort of promotion to let roosters members in for free?

Ouch, take away the 5-6K that SBW guarentees to brings to each game and that's a good GWS crowd

Take away the Anzac game where it was 95% Dragons fans and the game against Souths where it was 95% Souths fans then the Roosters crowd average is probably 4k without those 2 games

GWS Giants > Roosters
