Bunnies fans are dreaming as well if they think round 26 will be over 40k. The code has a lot of work to do regarding ticketing, scheduling and gameday experience. I suggest everyone fills in the survey sent out to all members regarding the gameday
Easts dropping a game this week or next week would be considered a service to rugby league.

If round 26 is a minor premiership playoff it'll get over 50,000

Arguably the 2 biggest clubs in Sydney both having a good year (souths in particular). Sure it isn't as bad as the Penrith crowd but it's the more disappointing of the 2 because you hope more from such a matchup.

Are we sure that Souths v roosters won't get booted off ANZ for a swans final ?

I emailed the NRL inquiring about that and also week 1 of the finals. They assured me NRL has first rights in both round 26 and also week 1 of the finals when the Swans are a chance to have a home final

Hand on my heart - there wouldn't have been more than 8k Bulldogs supporters there tonight. I've never seen a poorer 'Dogs turnout for a match against us - they usually out number us quite easily.

29k is really disappointing... not having a crack here at any club but it would've been nice to get a massive crowd and have it plastered all over the Newspapers tomorrow morning.

Free transport, entry for season ticket holders of both sides (with large membership bases), reasonable weather conditions & 2 v 5 on the table.

Questions need to be asked why there was such a low crowd for a game that deserved so much more. There's quite clearly a deeper issue and it seems to be a re-occurring issue this year with a lot of highly anticipated games resulting in underwhelming crowds.

I will say this, the disabled blokes having a crack in the half-time footy match didn't look like they gave two-f**ks what the crowd was tonight.

Bravo to them.

Thoroughly entertaining half time match.

And sometimes, RL just does something right.

Anyway...as we were. Crowds...
