A bit off toppic, but:

Souffs and the Dogs have been having a little tiff over who gets the right to use the home team rooms at ANZ, apparently Souffs put a lot of money into developing the home rooms over the offseason, and as such have requested the right to use the rooms, but it is officially scheduled as a Buldogs home game.

IMO Souffs needs to piss off, it's called a home ground advantage for a reason.

Souffs don't really pay to use the ground, they get paid by the stadium. Any team using it does.

Regardless, we've been playing there for 10 years - they've only been tenants 3 years. Souffs can GTFO. It's our home game, if they don't like it, then they can suffer.

Souths have a dressing room is theirs only. if you saw it on TV when they played Parra, it was Red and Green and had different flooring and layout to the other rooms.

Souths can F Off, we have been there since 1999 and are the original tenants and it is our scheduled home game so they can stop whinging

Just saw an Ad on tv promoting this weeks game. For the Bulldogs/Rabbits clash kids under 12 get in for free as do Rabbits season ticket holders. Also family passes can be bought for $30, hopefully people take advantage of this and a big crowd turns up.

Hmmm sounds like a great deal....hope the weather is okay for the game.

who do we blame for bad crowds? The fans, NRL or poor marketing?

Apathy by teams fans and poor marketing of the game.
Crappy articles of the image of rugby league don't help.

Unless fans get off their botties and go to games, they may lose their teams.

Seems like it doesn't it?
Better to think in a positive way and say its not going to rain until well after the game:D

Let's be honest:

The NRL is News Limited. What's their priority? They don't want you at the game - they want you at home watching 5 games in a row on their product, PayTV.

If it's going to cost you $100+ to take your family on sh*t transport to a sterile stadium, why wouldnt you stay home and watch it on TV.

We have to stop pretending News Limited are fans of rugby league and devoted to the welfare of the game. They syphon milions out of the game and the TV rights deals, which are rorts, cost the game tens of millions of dollars.

Why do we sit around and pretend on these threads that the game is what it was 12 years ago. It's NOT. It's a commodity owned by News Limited to make money - just like the Macquarie Bank turds do with Sydney Airport where you pay $4 for a 20 second trolley assuming a bikie doesn't kill your family before you're finished with it.

David Gallop isn't a gun CEO who loves the game. He's a News Limited lawyer who was given the gig to protect News Limited's interests.

Time to stop asking dumb questions hoping for a deluded "feelgood" answer.

Do you know something.....never once hasa News Ltd. executive ever stopped anyone getting up and going to a game.

Something else....people were not going 12 years ago either.

Blaming News Ltd or Gallop etc is frankly nonsensical denial. Face facts...We get smallish crawds because people don't want to go to the games which are no more expensive or difficult to get to than in most other codes in most other cities. let's get real.

Thought it would be a 15k crowd personally so this is excellent! Very close to capacity. A few spare seats here and there.

Very good crowds tonight - well done Sydney.

19,017 @ Parra
18,464 @ SFS

The crowd at the SFS was even bigger than the Week 1 Finals Match at the same venue last year.

Good crowds and Monday night between us and Souths should pull at least 25k (hopefully even more), who says crowds in Sydney are dead???

Hadnt heard that before.
i thought the rooms Souths developed where Souths own rooms as part of the 10 year deal. Maybe the Dogs arent letting them use them.
I have seen the dressing room Souths have renovated and it is an exact replica of the new Redfern Oval rooms. Cant see them being the regular Home Dressing Room

Does tonights crowds prove that Sydneys absolutely pathetic roads and transport networks have an effect on attendances... Getting to both of these venues by 7.35pm is an absolute sh*t fight if you have to work from 9-5.. After tackling traffic for anything from 60-200 min u just wanna go home and smash stubbies on the couch...

Seriously with the form of the home teams on a non holiday it would of been 11k at both venues...
