Why not start a thread on Adelaide or Canberra's appalling attendance of NRL matches?

If you really want to talk about that I will kick off the conversation. Don't think it will go anywhere, but here goes:

Gee, isn't the Adelaide public apathetic towards rugby league. Not even 9000 to one game. A disgrace.

Feel better now?

I'm actually not that troubled with 8k+ to an RL game in Adelaide, the A-League team there only averages around the 9-10k mark itself.

You said...

And I could've sworn this thread was about crowds. Stop trolling FFS

...just after saying.

It would seem all you're interested in is some good old Sydney-bashing. You still fail to offer anything constructive. And when called on it, all you offer is quotes about how I'm hypocritical while failing to address your own shortcomings.

You say that nothing constructive is offered. Then when you get a constructive response that shows you lied, you call it a troll and say it is off topic.

Stop being hypocritical. That is the word for it. That is what you are being. You ask a question, and then claim it is inappropriate to respond in this thread. It is pretty weak that every time you are caught out lying you suddenly stop responding and call "troll".

But that's all your doing, posting inflammatory remarks, statistics and railing against NSW in order to stir people like me...

Yet it is okay for you to post inflammatory remarks and rail against Queensland?

If you choose to partake in these sorts of arguments by the way, read everything and comment as such, don't back out citing laziness. Softc**k.

F**k me you QLD morons are nutters...

Back on crowds, Newcastles ground upgrade looks impressive and hopefully will see them cracking the 20,000 regularly. We live in hope that Melbournes new stadium will see them getting up around the 17-18,000 regularly, Canberra are a woory as they haven't done alot crowd wise for some years, hopefully if the Sth's game in perth draws 15,000 we may see Sth's bring more games West for the next couple of years and Adelaide is like perth, needs the game to get a higher profile and be on the telly before we will see decent turn outs.

Parra, Panthers, Manly, Sharks need to take a long hard look at their supporter bases and why they are not engaging with them and getting them to games, win or lose.

Agreed, re: Newcastle. Is going to look awesome when it is done and it will undoubtedly reap dividends for the Knights. Dunno what Canberra can do. Their stadium is fair good, but very open to the elements. I think they could do with a bit more support from Nine to rebuild their support base. As for Melbourne, I am very excited at the prospect of the Storm's new stadium. Fingers crossed that it is the catalyst for greater support.

Parra, Panthers, Manly, Sharks & Roosters need to take a long hard look at their supporter bases and why they are not engaging with them and getting them to games, win or lose.

Parramatta: They have got a pretty good stadium, so it is a bit of a mystery to me that their crowds have declined over the last decade. They should certainly be drawing more than 7000.

Panthers: Crowds seem to be tied more than usual to their on field success.

Manly, Sharks: Underperformers with crowds, although both play at grounds with a lot of grass hills. Clearly more susceptible to Sydney's oft-vaunted bad weather. While Cronulla could be quietly axed without shedding too many tears :sarcasm: I think Manly need to redevelop Brookevale. It is possible to have an enclosed stadium with some standing areas, such as the Poms have at some grounds. More modern facilities might work wonders.

Roosters: I will give them some credit. Their support has grown the most in Sydney over the last decade, albeit at a generally glacial pace.

Nothing to do with supporter groups d*ckhead, I said it before, it's Monday night football, the weather is sh*t and it's an out of town team. It was never going to crack 10k.

is this directed at me????

I will assume it is.....................f#$k head, my original post wasn't aimed at you, have a look at the times of the post, your post wasn't even displayed when I made my supporters group comment, hence why there was 1 min between. f$%k me you are an imbecile.

Apologies, but then again, WTF does an argument between Bulldogs and Knights fans about their supporter groups have to do with you? Don't like it, don't read it.

I do agree that the writing should be on the wall for Sydney as a home for so many clubs. Four clubs there are pulling abysmal crowds. I can't help but think a club in Wellington, Perth, or on the Central Coast would be doing a far better job.

I also thought it was an excellent turn out...the game was barely advertised and if you want to compare it to A-League, they have an Adelaide team based there...
