Crowd Watch Thread 2009

What is Leichardt's capacity?

23,079 Souths v Cronulla 1981 (KB Cup)

Otherwise, the highest crowd for a Wests Tigers game was 22, 877 v Souths in 2005.

I reiterate what i said last night, the crowd was nowhere near capacity. Perhaps, the hill is a bit deceptive because when the crowd is smaller people are far more spread out although they still give the appearance of filling out the space.

Very good crowd in Melbourne for the game last night. I guess the one positive I can take from that horrific loss is the fact that any non-league Victorians who were taken to that match or went as a one-off after the SOO would've been that bloody impressed with the attacking skills* on display that they'll definitely come back for more.

* - from the Storm, of course. Broncos were sh*te!

I know they've sucked arse this year but the saddest thing about Manly's average so far this year is that it's lower than the previous 4 years and they're the reigning premiers. Has there ever been a case of "supporters" jumping off the bandwagon after their team won a premiership? I'm no fan of Manly but they deserve a sh*tload better than that.

16k for the Cowboys game

Dissapointing crowd. I can only imagine a lot of fans up north didnt think this would be much of a game to make the trip out to the stadium for, figuring we would run over top of souths given the way the respective teams are performing. Which was exactly what happened but still not good.

Good effort from Sharks fans, especially since it was against a non Sydney club. Hopefully they've finally got the message that if they don't show up in decent numbers each week then they might not have a team to support in future.

The club is heading in the right direction off the field by getting rid of the nuffies who've helped run the club into the ground and with the return of Peter Gow i can really see them turning things around for the better. Keep it up Sharks fans!

i was impressed with both games today. sharks especially as the ground seemed to be predominantly sharkies fans. The sharkies chant towards the end was epic.

A decent crowd tomorrow night at Skilled should push us over the 15,000 average for the round, decent stuff across the board.
