Don't give me any bullcrap about out of town teams and low performing teams.

If the CC were really serious about getting the Bears back, then the locals should be making every game at Bluetounge count, showing their collective support for RL on the coast and give the NRL no choice but to get the Bears back.

Given the obvious level of support coming out of Gosford, I say " Bring back the Reds".

Can the Roosters please f**k off and stop making the Central Coast look bad? We got more for the local grand final last year FFS!

Ungrateful twat. Any area that wants an NRL team should sell out any chance they get. Look at Perth. The CC have offered nothing but piss poor crowds and rubbish excuses for the last 10 years.

So you agree with me that the Roosters should no longer be in the comp? Thanks for your input, dumbarse!

The Coast keeps coming up with excuses, they had a great game there a few weeks back between us and Melbourne but the crowd was just over 10k & the majority of them traveled up from Sydney (well i know ALOT of dogs fans that did), i know it wasnt the best whether but they are not exactly getting good crowds.

Its simple....

play games there with a Central Coast Team (Bears, Marlins, Crabs whatever) and they will pull big crowds. All they want is ownership of a CC Team, not blow ins. Clubs are only taking games up there for the cash, they are not genuinly intered in growing the game on the CC. If the NRL thinks they can get a good guage on the interest in RL on the CC based on the games it currently has there they are kidding themselves. They would get better data walking Erina shopping centre asking people what they want.

Sure I understand that they want their own team, but so does Perth.
The only gauge we have on how much interest there is in a CC and a Perth team is the crowds that turn up to watch out of town teams.
Perth is currently pushing their case while CC is not, simple as that.
Good crowd out at Penrith also.

Fantastic crowd at Penrith. Those fans and players really got behind the Women in League promotion. It was an amazing sight on the telly.

Also congratulations to Perth making a bold statement to the nrl.

What's going on in the CC...if you want a team, go support league no matters who plays, just look at what Perth did last night.

Gosford pele dont seem to understand it is not a given they will get a team.
Placing a team in Gosford will be a massive failure.
Sure they have a nice stadium but so do Newcastle and Newcastle have had great crowds forever but still struggle to make ends meet.
The problem is the corporate support, the ammount of sponsorship dollars in Gosford is limited and by bringing back the Bears it would also take away from the Knights sponsorship.
Perth on the other hand has a seperate economy untapped fpr NRL sponsorship and should be infront of the Central Coast bid. Also a much more appealing area when TV ratings come up for the next broadcast deal.

Central Coast have themselves to blame. Always excuses.
What happens if the Bears did come back and people still dont show up?

Just add that to the list of NSW teams that are embarassing the League with poor crowds and piss poor attempts to market the game.

The exceptions to this being Dogs, Souths, Dragons and Knights.

Central Coast crowd = pathetic

Perth crowd = fantastic

The Roosters would have actually got a bigger crowd at SFS which isn't saying much. Shows how really poor the Gosford crowd was.

No denying the crowd on the Coast was pathetic but seriously, the team coming last and they couldn't have been in worse form, vs the Titans? TBF it would've drawn 3-4k @ the SFS. Give the CC some decent quality games and schedule them for Sunday arvo, then watch the fans flock. Round 3, Souths v Newie - 15,227. That's your true gauge of the support up here - when you give us decent teams and a decent timeslot.

Eh? Perth got to watch souths who have been no better than the roosters lately and the storm who are an out of town team like the titans. They also played on Saturday night.

Plus Perth is on the other side of the country so they would have gotten basically no away support or fans from Sydney.

Perth hasn't had a game in how many years during the premiership season? Please.

If Perth can sustain the same crowds given the same amount of games as Gosford (without being given a team) for 5 or 6 seasons, then fine. But you're comparing apples and oranges at the moment.

I'm more interested in the fact that having a team in Perth gives us a Live game in the 9:30 timeslot on a saturday night. Sure, that timeslot isn't the most popular on a friday night, but that's because it is delayed and people can log on the net and see the result. But it was still a good crowd over there.
