LOL at rabbits last night saying the game was being seen in 40 million homes in USA.

There are 40 million cable subscribers - as if everyone of them would be watching SOO.

I saw a tweet from Brad Walters saying the game would be replayed tonight at 8pm US eastern time. That would have much more chance of getting a casual audience than 6am on a weekday. Good stuff!

Some people just don't get it. This was a great result even if a handful of people watched it.

The NFL is beamed into Australian living rooms at ridiculous o'clock every year, but it's noticeable that the more coverage it gets, the more acceptance there is for the sport. Look at the NFL section of this site, it's grown considerably in recent years and you'd have to say OneHD broadcasting it here has had a major impact.

Just about everyone has Pay TV in New Zealand, let alone sports fans.

I'd much rather fork out than have to feed off scraps like Aussie FTA fans do.

Ive never understood why Pay TV penetration isnt higher in Australia, after all your incomes are higher and if you average out the cost per week it's f**k all.

Leaguewise NZers are treating like Kings by Sky Sports, we have a feast of RL. Yet 9 and Fox shaft Aussie fans in the heartland of the game appallingly.

Because with 16 channels to choose from and 3 games of league each week to watch on FTA why would I pay someone so I can watch TV?

I'd never watched a game of NFL before seeing it on One last year. While not hooked, I am definitely interested now.
