Realistically, this was Sironen's first year playing and training as a back rower. He played one or two games at 5/8 but that was it.
It struggled a bit at the start but he's really starting to look more comfortable. He is running hard and starting to dominate tackles. I still have high hopes.
Yeah, and most of the players on his side of the field were reserve graders at best. Have Tedesco wrapping around him, and stick Simona and Nofo outside him (who actually have a bit of pace on them) and the defence will think twice about jamming in on him. He'll get a lot more opportunities to get one on one with opposition halves. If he can develop a good offload we could have a crazy good left side attack.
