awkward situation for them, Peats is better than Nathan Friend for mine but what do you do?

Nathan Friend isn't that bad of a player either

That would be the Match Review Committee.

But do go on.

Yes and I was being facetious but I think his point is valid, that "the NRL said so and don't even question it" is a silly viewpoint to take as they are famously reactive and inconsistent with penalties. The Stewart incident, while completely unrelated, is an example of the NRL delivering a penalty with poor justification that the Sea Eagles and Stewart were filthy about ft YEARS afterward and they had every right to question it.

Once all the details come out Parra probably deserves worse than what they have been currently given but to suggest Parra fans shouldn't even be in here questioning and discussing the penalty is ridiculous. They have a bias but not much more than a lot of opposition fans who are in here frothing at the mouth

How can the Eels fans claim they are being hard done by? They have knowingly breached the salary cap in 5 of the last 6 seasons. They signed big name players for 2016 on big contracts knowing full well they were breaking the rules. Likewise with players in previous seasons. They want someone, they offer overs and dodgy it up in the cap. Giving them.an unfair advantage to sign the roster they had.

You then getaway with losing a player on massive overs forced into retirement (fixing your cap a heap aswell), losing a shit centre that wasn't wanted and only having to sacrifice one decent player from your top 17. It sucks for Peats but it's not the NRLs fault. They didn't choose who got sacked and they have been very generous in helping you get cap compliant and allowing you to play for points.

Reminds me a bit of Melbourne's response to their rorting. Whinging and acting like poor innocent victims when caught out despite they fact they were involved in deliberate and systematic cheating.

Just cop it and thank your lucky stars. They got off easy.

A handful of shit posters don't speak for all of us. But tbh I could care less what other fans think...our board are a disgrace, our club is in turmoil, who gives a f**k if other fans lack sympathy for us? Just don't assume lunatics like Parra speak for us all.

Holy shit, mate.

Brett Stewart was not guilty. Parramatta are guilty and have admitted so.

What don't you get here?

You just can't bring yourself to say the NRL was wrong in the penalty meted out to Stewart. I think the NRL were wrong and their methods and decisions are open to scrutiny. Why shouldn't they be?

FFS.

The situations are not even remotely close to being similar. In any way, shape or form.

Parramatta were investigated over many months. Investigations were thorough and extensive. They have admitted guilt and are acting accordingly (well some of them).

Brett Stewart was stood down after a couple of days by Gallop's Kangaroo Court with no due process.

Completely different situations in investigation, due process and most importantly GUILT.

Just pipe down.

which is exactly what the coach and what the players have done. the rest (board members, posters on here) aren't a fair representation of what the rest of us are feeling.

it isnt just eels posters losing the plot in here, some other posters are having way too much fun and i think its going to their heads. just have a drink of water and settle down.

Guys, according to Paul Kent in an article in the DT today, everyone wants Parra to bounce back...

"...While the rugby league world will be willing the Eels players to a big win tomorrow night in the wake of the club’s salary cap breaches..."

Lol.

Parras probably my second favourite team and I don't want them to make the finals. I want them to beat merkin sides like manly, broncs and souffs...lose to the sharks, then come 9th. Make it happen toddles, you're the puppet master.
