At least if frenzy or reefy have a dig there is a face to a name.

Two threads started by rams seemingly at random against the chairman. No substance or actual claim just white ant innuendo.

Had crossed my mind. Or a disgruntled board member. My guess is that is that Brendan snow farkwit from the leader or someone similar.

I don't normally jump to di's defense when regular members in here have a grievance, especially when they at least mention what the issue is.

But these kind of threads and posters make my ears prick up a bit.

I think you should read back through all of his posts. seems fairly balanced to me. Not saying I agree, but, it seems to me that his support is wilting. Doesnt seem like an outright attack.

Like most I thought he had done an amazing job at keeping the joint afloat.

But now Im just thinking is that all he is doing is cost cutting the whole operation.
Even I could do that.

How about he starts the fast talking with the sponsors?
Our box has been treated like a shambles so we pulled it.
Not even a phone call of "what went wrong?"
That was not good.

Hey fair enough comments, why not post those issues to begin so we know where you are coming from?

That said, what you just listed is not the Board or Chairmans role.

Is it only Irvine cutting everything? Wouldn't all the other board members have to agree with it as well?

How do you know how sponsorship is going? Should they leak all the negotiations going on? If we don't have a main sponsor by round 1 then we have an issue. Bulldogs didn't have one to start 2010, nor do the Panthers at the moment.

Well actually, who is the CEO? Isn't he doing both roles? It used to be Fisk. Then it was the debacle that was Feening.
Whilst totally fence sitting here, it provides an interesting insight from a different perspective & it seems like constructive criticism to me & goes to show that not all posters are in the Redback, Frances the mule, "post your preferred spurious poster here" type moud.

Nor are they like the Blacktip Reefy type who lie continuosly to impress and try and make friends. Who will ever forgot the now timesless classic...."Ricky will extend his contract at the club or the equally classic....."I sat next to an ex Bulldog coach who told me so", post your preffered liar here type mould.

Given the financial state of the club, I don't see any choice for the Board and DI, other than what they are doing. If they are successful with the development, it has been short term pain for long term gain.

If the Board did not instigate cost cutting, they would not be performing their governance role. It is just a shame past Boards have not been focussed on the long term future of the club, otherwise we may not be in the position we are.

IMO those that want to whine and complain that we cannot be competitive with the cost cutting going on, should direct their angst at those past Board members who created this situation.
