My mail is that Duges wants to go back to fullback so that's what will happen
I think that a solid defender is paramount at right centre so hopefully either Nielsen or Mata'utia will handle that task. I expect Runciman and Nabuli on the left.

Runciman shouldn't play first grade (and I don't believe he will barring injury). Over rated (as per usual by dragons optimists). He is way too small and ain't that quick. Very hard to understand why people talk him up. I think he's more of good guy than real talent.

I did not know he played Origin. That does surprise me,... pleasantly.

Yes former QLD Origin player and was solid at that level, he might surprise a few and might give more solidarity to the team with his experience.

Played rep U18 & U20 for NSW and is a smart young player
90kg last season and growing.
More than optimistic fans rate him. So does the coaching staff.
Time will tell and given rumours have Matautia joining his brothers in '16 you'd think that he has the inside running

Better than you think IMO

You are right, time will tell. But just have not seen anything that suggests he will be a potent or threatening centre in first grade. Big step up from junior reps. In fact I don't think junior reps mean all that much.

You could say the same thing about Bird....so you were okay with losing him to Sharks?

Last time Nielsen looked good was when he was at the Storm outside Widdop. Hang on a minute......

Great business Saints, I hope it comes off. They would know each others game quite well. I think it is more or less bye bye Beale. If not You have 1.Dugan, 2.Nighty,3.Beale,4.Nielsen,5.Farrell. Pretty awesome backline. Farrell only non-rep player. I would be pretty confident if Saints ran out with that backline of scoring points.
I concur that the signing is good short term business!

Mulholland is building a team of experienced players..watch his recent signings..
Rose, L Estrange, Packer (Will Sign), Neilsen are all proven experienced players couple them w Marshall, Widdup , Dugan, Nightingale and u have a fairly handy team..

We are talking about a team that has no budget and somehow has to shed players to start rebuilding.

Farrell and Beale will stay albeit there is an offer from the Warriors for Beale on the table..

I like Beale, I'd rather we keep him.

But I'm assuming we have paid him double what Neilson is probably on.

yep.
and this scenario has been the driver behind most of our signings this year..

replace a rubbish player, with someone slightly less rubbish ... but on much less cash..
