STFU, clown. The whole saga has been handled in an unprofessional fashion, and if you tend to disagree then you are dumber then I thought.

I can go off how I like, and if you don't like, f**k off. The board are doing nothing to rebuild the joint, and you are content then so be it.

If the. Da saga hasn't been finalized and it does end up in the courts, then it's bye bye to 2011

Pleasing to see that you know every minute detail and behind the scenes negotiations that have been taking place.
No wonder you can make such an informed judgement.

PS. You need to get off those angry pills.

Quality post. Go back and read that Ozzie has been dealing with solicitors. I want the matter sorted as much as the next bloke, but our genious board has other ideas. I don't know where I jumped the gun, as u pretty much claimed. Maybe it's about time champ you took some of your own advice. In your rumours thread u have pretty named half the nrl and esl being linked to the eels. Just relax, CALM DOWN.

Mate, surely you realize I was joking?

And we've only been linked to every player in the world, that's not as bad as what you are going on about :sarcasm:

Just because a solicitor is involved doesn't mean that the sh*ts about to hit the fan. It just means theres a solicitor there to oversee the negotiations, and to ensure that his client is receiving the best possible outcome. I hardly think that Anderson having a solicitor is reason to believe the Board is reneging on the payout deal.

no but his manager and ossie's comments suggest there is something going on that isn't entirely amicable

It really is simple. Just pay him whatever it say he is entitled to in his contract. FMD even a trained monkey could work this out.

But Maroubra Eel, what if there was conditions attached to the entitlements? It's not as clearcut as you think.

I hardly doubt the club would be delaying the payment of his entitlements if there wasn't a valid reason for doing so. They've already had enough negative attention placed on them and they certainly don't need anything else added to the plate.

I'd say the reason they don't want to pay if out is because they're hoping to settle for less than his 2011 contract would have been. Which goes against what was said before.

Ray Hadley on his show on wednesday, touched up on the issue, stating that the board were waiting till after the agm to pay DA. I just don't understand what the advantage would be in doing so?????? The club is only going to attract unwarrented attention in delaying and dragging out the (inevatable) payment of DA.

Isn`t it just possible that Daniel Anderson is being stubborn, pig-headed and difficult? When you look at his history and his persona, gee, it`s not that hard to imagine.

Well he has every right too. He had a contract for 2011 and as Roy Spagnolo said, that contract would be 'honoured'. If they are going to 'honour' it he should be paid out in full.

What I mean is: maybe he`s haggling over stuff that he isn`t entitled to. Who the f**k knows? Not a goddam single one of us, that`s for sure. That`s why it is so infantile to take sides in something like this.

Yeah I was real angry when they were sacked by Anderson.

Hey, mate; coaches get sacked all the time. This board hasn`t done anything wrong in that regard. They just sacked a coach who didn`t perform up to their expectations, that`s all. Were you happy with the way Parramatta played in 2010?

Exactly, although, you know as well as I do Lingard that EVERYTHING is the Board's fault at the moment. Infantile is a good word in this situation.

They've got form with this kind of thing.

Good luck to Ando.

bullsh*t. It would be very clear in the contract what he is entitled to. Just pay it in full. Easy.

Seriously Maroubra Eel, as easy as you make it sound, its nothing like that.

If contracts were so easy to understand we wouldnt have numerous litigation cases across Australia over a simple thing like the interpretation of a Contract. At my work i see first hand how the most simple line in a contract leads to years of dispute.

I agree with Lingard, we just DONT KNOW what the issue is and we should try not to speculate and immediately blame the Board for something which clearly isn't as simple as we think it is.
