i think after two buddy-buddy coaches in smith and hagan the eels need a real 'my way or the highway' wayne bennett type of coach who sets a high standard for his team and will drop any player who doesn't meet it, they also need someone who can burn the paint off the locker room walls with an almighty half-time spray when necessary

Say what you will about Smith, but a 'buddy buddy' type of coach he ain't. Hagan may be that way, but Smith certainly wasn't. There's a reason that he is constantly named the coach players least want to play under in those stupid annual RLW Player's Polls.
