Yes to a certain degree that being if they are Brian Smith Clones ie Andersin, Matt Elliott, Nathan Brown, do you
So any coach that loses a GF is useless are they?

Yes, only if they are Brian Smith Clones ie Nathan Brown, Daniel Anderson, Matt Elliott, do you see a pattern?

If you are going to push someone who has been working with Bellamy, then Michael Maguire would be a better choice....... Kearney is the NZ coach and may develop a good rapport with the Polynesian element within the team however Maguire may be the better tactician.

No I don't see a pattern - Anderson worked miracles at the Warriors and has enjoyed remarkable success in England.

Given that Brian never won a premiership in England either, wouldn't Daniel have failed over there too if he was a so-called Smith 'clone'?

I still disagree. Didn't Elliott win it over there but like Smith he will never win a premiership in Australia. Whether you win a premiership or not in England makes no difference. The fact is if you are a Smith clone, you will never win a premiership and that applies to JT also

To work miracles you need to win the thing at the end

At the end of the day you need a new young coach with the X factor ie Bellamy. Also watch Henry win one in the not too distant future. I would also have gone for him. Canberra are very unlucky to lose him. Look what he's doing with Canberra with a shi* roster this year.

One more thing before I go I want to stress to the stubborn heads in here, that Anderson is NOT the answer. He seems to be liked because dare I say he is a quick fix solution and in simple people way of thinking, he is safe because he breeds familiarity.
That is not a recipe for success. I think most people here have watched the movie Lassie come home and have a warm and fuzzy feeling inside in bringing Anderson home. I mean geez even I can coach a team to win premierships in England. Anderson failed in winning a premiership with the warriors. The club needs to move away from winning club championships and breeding the best juniors. What does this achieve? Zilch premierships. I would prefer raiding other clubs juniors and winning the premiership. People need to get away from this Fitzy line of thought.

As Ron says go hard for Kearney or another young coach who is a student of Bennett or Bellamy. Get out of your comfort zones and forget Anderson. He will get you no premiership but a top 4 finish at best. Wake up
Agreed, dont think he is the answer.

Just because he spent time under Smith doesn not make him a Smith clone. JT - probably to a certain extent although I still rate him - but Daniel is very much his own man. He also doesn't suffer from the same anxiety that Smith did. They are very different personalities.

Aside from Bellamy, I couldn't think of a better coach than Anderson in world rugby league at present.

We can agree to disagree but so be it, these things happen.

It's just a good thing that you worship the ground I walk on based on my Van Halen/DLR tendencies. You know that I must know what I'm talking about, which I quite clearly do.

The fact that I'm drunk is irrelevant. Shut Up!

That is all

Briam McLennan would be the real smokey. his performances with NZ were impressive in the short term, as were some of his selections.

How is he going over there does anyone know?

Brian McLennan's 'Leeds Rhinos" are going great. I had some doubt over his coaching abilities, but they've been cast aside now. Mind you he did inherent an already well drilled team, but he hasn't managed to stuff it up the way Hagan has.

I still think Dan Anderson is the right man for Parra. St.Helens are a great team to watch, they are so well drilled but they also play with a lot of flair. Anderson also has the wood on Wayne Bennet.

I know you will all critisize me but do I give a f**k? I'm smarter than all you never beens & wannabees combined (Except Ron) I'm better qualified, better looking and more than you will ever be. I work for myself and not for bosses like you slaves do.I'm my own man. Perhaps I should run the club. Parra needs a businessman not a public servant. I am successful and a jerk who cares. I don't put my hands out each week or month whatever to get my small wage for set hours worked or slaved. I run my own business and I command my destination so listen to me soft c***s, don't blame Hagan, blame the system and players. The players don't give a s**t simple fact. League is gone. Players want the cash at the end of the day. They break their bones each week while so** C**k fans sit and enjoy (like the Roman Gladiators fans in ancient times). When players get old they will have a painful retirement but if they have money at least it will soften the pain slightly. Good on SBW, go for it because when you're old no one will care. People say they get paid well doing what they love. Bullsh**. To them its a job and a painful one. Get off your high horses and face realities. Enough said. I need to make money so argue amongst yourselves.

You do make a fine internet warrior, stiff. I'm so impressed with your ability to put down other people and raise yourself up as you sit behind a keyboard.

You are my internet hero.

Daniel Anderson???

I think some of you guys are fed up with Hagan and will take anyone. He isn't the type of coach we need IMO. We need an innovator, someone with spark.

Stiff,

Correct, our juniors are not at the standard they used to be, the more time we wait for them to be the stars everyone thinks they are, then the longer we will be a mediocre side. We need to stop upgrading players contracts who are nothing more then good reserve players and sub-standard fringe first graders.

Stiff is entitled to his opinion, and as the legend he is you have to respect that, however i wouldn't mind Anderson here. If it is true that a large part of 2001 can be attributed to him theni'd take him bak asap.

i think after two buddy-buddy coaches in smith and hagan the eels need a real 'my way or the highway' wayne bennett type of coach who sets a high standard for his team and will drop any player who doesn't meet it, they also need someone who can burn the paint off the locker room walls with an almighty half-time spray when necessary
