Chris was mainly a defensive player. Yeah tough as nails but we don't want 2 defensive players with mediocre attacking skills as our 6 and 7.

I recall he too moved into the 2nd row at Penruff

I dont think Mortimer was any more impressive then Sandow was in his first season.
Putting all hate and bias aside - you cant say Sandow wasnt bloody impressive in 08.

Pre Season 09 all these articles got written about him and everyone was saying hes a tough character blah he will pass it..but he didnt..he struggled all season and his spectacular round 1 performance didnt help.

I think it is going to be more of the same for Mortimer..
You just dont know..

you are a goose, mortimer made 61 tackle breaks in 13 games. sando is crap as is the souths backline

No need to worry about Jeff. Barellan boys are tough, and, from the blokes I know from that area, nothing phases them. They take it all in their stride. He was good in 2009, will be better in 2010 knowing his future, at least until the end of 2011, has been wrapped up. I am a great fan of a half back who the ability to run and tackle - and can pull a kicking game out when required.
Jeff probably needs to work on his kicking game, but really, is it that important considering Mortimer, Matt Keating and Jarryd Hayne all showed capabilities in that department in 2009.

sorry to lay your deluded thinking to rest but there is no way robson will get near first grade in the halves while kk and mortimer are fit n healthy. no f**kin chance.he is a reserve grade player at best.

Oh yeah um Sandow kicked 6 40/20s in 2008 - lets bring up more pointless stats.

Hayne struggled in his 2nd year.
Smith did.
Sandow did.

Its ovibous its a real problem and its a chance of happening to Mortimer.
Ovibously something you have an issue with accepting..

Yeah..We'll see....but, that's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. It's not me or you who make the choice..it will be DA, and he is a fan of Robson and what he brings to the team.
KK is good as well..so it will be interesting to see who he runs with.

It would totally cripple Tahu's game to move him to five eight. He beats players one on one, thats his strength, moving him to five eight would take that away from him. I would like to see Tahu get the ball first of the scrum though, that would be his forte' I rekon.

i would like to see kk come back in at 14, keep the halves similar to this year, it proved to be very successful for the team. Why change it? with kingston gone it leaves a spot, kk can start there and if things dont work out then change te roles around.

KK at 14 will not work. Anthony Mithcell will at some stage play off the bench at number 14 and he will make that jersey his.

Looking forward to see if Mitchell can live up to his hype...Heard it plenty of times in regards to Cordoba, Hauraki, Tautai, Paulo, Smith,...be interested to see for myself. I have watched him a couple of times ON TV in the NYC. Seemed a bit small to me....BUT he certainly has some wraps on here (and by people whose opinions I respect).
