Danny Buderus - still holding NSW back

Once again his slow service, crap vision, non existent kicking game and pathetic running game stopped NSW gaining momentum. NSW would have won this game by 20 plus if they had a decent hooker. His highlight for the game was passing a ball 3 meters forward and not getting it called back. We had that many chances to go down the short side after a good dummy half run it was ridiculous. He tried it once, ran 2 meters then passed it Cooper who wasnt looking.

His sh*tness was highlighted when Hornby (a deadset average first grader) came on and had more spark and input into NSWs attack in his first set on the field then Buderus did in his 60 mins on there.

Before you one eyed red and blues say I'm biased towards Farah, this has nothing to do with him. I wouldnt have him near the NSW side at the moment. However Ennis, Priddis or even someone like De Gois would add more then Danny would at the moment.

I'm not saying Buderus wasnt a great player for Newcastle, NSW and Australia, there was a time when he was undoubtedly the best hooker in the world. However surely even the most avid knights fan must now admit he is well past it?

Err, no. You're wrong :)

Despite a few errors he played well.

He had a better game than Smith tonight
I lol'ed at the pass to Cooper's thigh though
There was another amusing incident too, but it's slipped my mind now

LOL who are you kidding?!? buderus was fantastic tonight and steered the team around brilliantly. buderus and birdy both took heaps of pressure off wallace, and wallace shone brightly as a result.

i can't believe you tigers fans... aahahaha.. do you think if you say it enough it will come true or what?

His passing was a bit off but Buderus otherwise played well.

It would have been good if he hit Wallace's chest more often.

Bedsy played well, Farah is a better player but has been injured this year but will be there in 2009.

On a tad more serious note, I think Buderus is playing his last year in Australia at the right time. Despite him playing well, to me anyway, it seems obvious that he isn't young as he once was in the style he plays.

However that is a general statement. Tonight he was good for the Blues, for the 57 minutes he played.

Bedsy had a great game. I've been a strong critic of his in the past... but aside from a very stupid pass to Matt Cooper, his game was really strong. He outplayed Cameron Smith... and that's all that matters.

Buderus was all class - as usual.

He remains the best hooker in the game IMO. The best ive ever seen actually.

Oh how i love all you whingers who hook onto abit of unfair criticism about someone like fish and then swim with it for miles. How Buderus became one of the most maligned players in the game i will never know.

Awesome player. Great NSW captain and lead us well tonight.

Well done Bedsy!

lol... people expect buderus to set up 10 tries and make 50 line breaks to have a good game. what they fail to see is him constantly busting his arse, being the first one into tackles.. clean up work.. rolling the forwards over the advantage line consistantly whenever he's on the field.. organising the defence.. his leadership.. his crisp service from dummy half.. etc.. etc.. etc.
