Danny Galea and Corey Payne = Hate

These two blokes must be the most unaccountable footballers of the modern era? Apart from the odd decent hit in defence, they offer us nothing. Surely there's something more than these two around. We can maybe afford to carry one of them, not 2.

Galea goes alright IMO. He is a decent defender also. But not worth the money we paid.

Payne is rubbish and is a serial penalty offender. He's a dumb footballer who offers next to nothing. We already have a dumb forward who gives away too many penalties in Gibbs, now we have two.

I think Galea adds some tough defense in the middle when he comes on, he has nothing with the ball in hand but good defender....

In 2008 a backrower has to be able to do something in attack, DG and CP offer nothing. I dont know the stats but what a line break between the two of them in half a season football and their hit ups send shock waves, I dont think so. They have the impact of a watering can in a bush fire.

Remember we were told about Paynes offload and his aggression, where is it, probably still down at the Gong. A bloke like Rocky T must be worth a shot, cant be any worse. DG was a centre, I now know why Sheens put him in the forwards, with ball in hand has the skill of a donkey.

agree with the sentiments above. galea is an honest toiler who is great in defence, however has no impact in attack.

whereas the only impact payne has is in the penalty colum, im so sick of him already its not funny

If Galea was used as a backrower he would be more effective I feel.

But no. He is another prop conversion job.

Especially with Fulton out he would make an ideal lock. Excellent defender, nimble, great footwork and really good ball handler

put morris at Lock, bring up someone decent for the Bench.

Then have morris run at the props all day.

I thought Galea had a great game for us Monday night. Hope he can back it up tonight. Payne is useless!
