SBW allegedly got the sh*ts and smashed the camera.

Weidler didnt, hes just telling us about it.

Pretty simple who's allegedly at fault...yet the victims can only see their arsehole lining.

The issue which you've conveniently missed is what if it's not. In the past, Weidler has got stories wrong.

Allegedly is the point at the moment.

He seems to get things correct a fair bit of the time, and this is probably one time where he has got it correct, it is a Dogs player :D

why does everyone bitch about weidler? he seems to be right 90% of the time

I dont really care about this SBW incident because it's absolutely nothing, but I do have no respect for Weidler. Obviously Weidler couldn't give two tosses about whether I respect him or not, but there does seem to be a vast majority of this forum who feel the same way.

The only people that seem to support him are Fatty and the footy show. That's half the reason I dont like him, the amount of pissing in pockets that goes on whenever he is on is just cringe worthy.

How many times has Greg Inglis been in the news for getting drunk or being out all hours and being an idiot? Or Benji Marshall? Cameron Smith? Darren Lockyer? Face it some blokes are just morons and will use their victim mentality to try get away with whatever they want.

If SBW is going to be a moron, then another moron will report it. No excuses really.

One positive: when SBW fronts the media, he won't have to read the bullsh*t statement from the Club, he'll know it off by heart. "I've let my club down, my teammates (all laughing in the background), my family, my friends etc".

The David Gallop will front up saying "we need to wipe cameras and journalists out of our game because our game is our game".

Meanwhile, Weidler is negotiating with the Footy Show to do his version of "Your House" where he spends 10 minutes on his knees going thru an NRL player's garbage to find some gossip.

Danny Weidler is a serious issue for the NRL. His latest story is just one in a long line of stories that for the large part have either turned out to be fabricated, part-truth or straight out lies.

The worst part of this is that his news is often damaging not just the individual or club involved but the WHOLE GAME. Why is this continually allowed to happen? Irrelevant of the level of truth in this most recent story regarding SBW, he is a blight on the game and for someone who is supposed to be part of a team covering the game in a supposedly positive light... unbelievable.

We've had enough negative publicity (where, who and why in this argument is really irrelevant) without dickheads like him making up stories or embellishing the fact and putting more chinks in the armour.

An example of his absolutel ignorance and stupidity was never more evident than today - claims that in light of all of the media scrutiny, SBW was looking to go overseas to NZ or GB to escape the limelight and pressure. DANNY, YOU'RE THE PROBLEM, YOU SHOULDN'T BE REPORTING ON THAT YOU FARKWIT.

Sorry but that is worth a rant. Weidler is a stain on the game.

Its a grain of salt, goes well with anything Weidler says, you really should try it todge todge.

So which one is it this time?

I think I'll choose (d) none of the above...

To be honest Dodge,I agree with you but the reality is there's no much that can be done.
I mean,if he was sacked another journalist would take the reigns and wouldn't be as stupid but even more deceptive.

That's journos' for you,I mean how can you expect things about sport to be reported correctly by them when they have to warp news and current affairs in the first place.

Is it a problem for the NRL?
No.
Because most footy fans see right through Weildler and get their correct information from site etc.
If the NRL were to go into damage control every time a controversial story were realised they'd have gone a long time ago.

And,I mean you have to get used to it,Sonny Bill is a famous and good looking football star who plays for the Bulldogs he will get targeted by the press everytime, the smart thing to do is to not give them ammunition.

When you're famous these things will happen.

Dodge - do you want to organise a book burning, and a list of banned publications too?

The problem I'm thinking of is the turning away of new fans. Those who don't know any better. The team that's supposed to be covering and in a sense promoting the game are doing whatever they seemingly can to sabotage it.
