Hey all,

Listening to the radio this morning and was shocked to hear that Boyd is tipped to miss the first 4 nations match. Sheens wants to put Tequiri instead... Anyone else heard anything?

Comeplete BS really if Tuiquri wasn't a Tigpie would he have made if over Boyd? I don't think so Lote couldnt even crack the Qld this side year who was on the wing for Qld though? Hmmmmm I am dissapointed Young didn't make it either.

hahaha ahhh you have to laugh. One player from the premiers makes the Australian team. Darius Boyd... RLPA player of the year, near the top of the Dally M's, Clive Churchill medallist... can't make the 17. Sheens the coaching mega-myth will use the specialist winger excuse but Boyd played on the wing for all 3 Origin matches.. ahead of Scrote Lote. hahaha fmd go the Kiwis

i think sheens is still not over the 13-12 loss. he felt that his team should have and would have been premiers.

Having said that i do believe tiquiri is a great player. Very strong and fast after his return to the nrl. But i also feel there is a bias. The premiers should have a greater representation. They earned it.

Lote is a better winger than Boyd. The only reason he didn't play Origin is because the QLD selectors aren't happy he left the code. And their side is that much better than the Blues that they don't have to pick the best player at every position.

But i also feel there is a bias. The premiers should have a greater representation. They earned it.

Everybody's been saying it for ages - St George didn't win the comp because they have a load of gun players; they won it because they have no crap ones.

Every other team (except for Melbourne this year) has weaknesses and that's why the Dragons managed to win this year. But you'll notice they had to play a very structured, boring style to do it; they just don't have the stars to play exciting footy.

Yeah I'll be cheering for NZ again. But so will Sheens seeing that the object of all his man love, Benji the wonder turnstile, is playing for the kiwis.

Tuqiri on the wing is a good choice, probably the best winger in the comp all year. The thing which gets me is the centre pairing, Tonga and Tate? Lote could've slotted into centre with Boyd on the wing imo, far more potent in attack

And I enjoy watching the Kiwis play more than Australia anyway ... they play for the jersey, the Kangaroos play for nothing in particular.

To be fair, I'd say the three best wingers in the NRL this season were Nightingale, Uate and Vatuvei.

Just for the record, I don't think tuquiri is all that. Suspect under the high ball and very, very slow to turn in defence. U could see that when we played them and Sowie finally got the ball out to Gaz. Gaz threw a loopy pass to Nightingale. U see tuqiri trying to turn to catch Nightingale but was so slow to get anywhere near him. Boyd for me any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Very good under the high ball and also very quick.
