Not a fan of statues for someone so recently retired but I think it's actually a pretty good likeness.

They should move Wally over to one side of that broad walkway as you approach the front gates from Caxton Street so that as we add other greats along each side we can create like a triumphal walk through the middle as you approach the Stadium.

That would enable us to fast track a few extras so we get say 3 along each side. So four new ones required.

Beetson, Meninga, Langer, and Noel Kelly for the dusty files.

Then we could add one "classic" great and one "modern" great each year until we have 10 down each side, and after that just as required to recognize legends that arise.

It would look awesome.

Good idea. I reckon I know who'd be an idea candidate for third in line on the modern great (ok the term might need to be stretched somewhat) side.

Was just thinking about that.

Might have to have a gander tonight, our season seats are at that end of the ground.

i have got pictures of wally with a cowboys scarf wearing a howdy hat.

I like the idea of having 10 statues even though i have a seething hatred towards brisbane but i'd guess these things don't come cheap

What a joke. Smokin Joe Kilroy deserves one more than Lockyer...or even Brett Le Mann who scored the Broncos first ever try.

Surely a statue of Chris Close flipping the bird would encapsulate QLDs inferiority complex perfectly.

Sure, we'll get those as soon as you make...

Ben Creagh running away like a coward
Justin Poore lifting an unconscious player off the ground to prove how tough he is
And a statue of Tahu listening into a conversation between Joey & Beau with an OMG expression on Timana's face.

Yeah the kneecapper getting knocked out after starting a blue was hilarious wasn't it.

After reading his book i'm surprised he did, and also wasn't surprised he got his ass handed to him.

Blues happen in league, espicially origin and is part of the game. Picking a bloke thats unconcious up off the ground by his jersey and dropping him back down again isn't, espicially if they get taught not to touch players with head injuries due to possible neck damage (well i did when i played anyway so i'm guessing the top grade players get schooled on this type of stuff).

Could they make one of TC's chin?

Ben Kennedy and Jarryd Hayne lying face down in the grass beside each other would be a better Blues statue IMO. Great NSW Origin moments.
